Astrocartography readings and wisdom from Dan Furst
Astrocartography readings and wisdom from Dan Furst
Hello and welcome. This is Captain Aquarius, coming to you on Nov. 1, 2017 with a video about the Full Moon coming on Nov. 4. The beginning of November is among the most important dayss of the universal sacred year. They are the great Celtic Festival of Samhain, which begins on Nov. 1 and continues for four days until November 5. The opening of the feast on Nov. 1 was celebrated as the New Year, when a huge bonfire would consume away the physical things we no longer wish to hold, and also the old grudges, resentments, pain and wounding of the year that has just passed away.
So important are Nov. 1, and the days that follow it, that the Catholic Church, aiming as always to take over not only the sacred places of more ancient religions, but also their sacred days, designated Nov. 1 as All Saints Day and November 2 as All Souls Day. The latter is celebrated throughout the Latin world as the Dia de los Muertos, affirming
our continuing relationship with our departed ancestors and friends. The Samhain cycle ends on Nov. 5, the day when the ancient peoples burned an effigy of the old year that they called the Old Guy. Nov. 5 has been more famous for the last 400 years because of another old guy, the incendiary Guy Fawkes, who led a plot to blow up the British parliament in 1605. His image has been ever-present lately in the Guy Fawkes mask worn by the hero of the Wachowski brothers’ movie V for Vendetta.
The timing of these things, not only the ancient Celtic festival but also the more recent echoes and resonances in revolutionary events today, is perfectly suited to this moment in the astral year. We are now in the middle of the month of Scorpio, the eighth month in the zodiac year, the month of death and regeneration, when the leaves go brown and fall from the trees, and the harvest gives way to the approach of the season of passing away. The air is chilly, and full of Change.
It’s perfectly appropriate that the Full Moon coming on November 4, within the Samhain cycle, has been the focus of much speculation, uncertainty, fear and rage, because this is the day when the antifa, the antifascist movement in the United States, aims either to terminate the regime of Donald Trump and Mike Pence, or to launch into motion events that will lead to this outcome. Naturally, at a time when political, social and religious tensions are at their peak, a declaration of intent as assertive and combative as this one is bound to generate passionate responses. This Nov. 4 has been called a day when radicals and communists – remember them? — want to provoke a new Civil War, so people on both sides who relish a fight are getting ready to rumble.
But the focus of this video is not in the very excitable United States. It is the city of Tanta in Egypt, where the Full Moon of mid-autumn marks one of the world’s largest and most joyous festivals, comparable even to the gigantic Kumbh Mela in India. There are years when the Tanta autumn festival attracts a million people to the area around the main Tanta Mosque. More about this later, when we’ll see why this festival is such a good symbol, so much needed at this time, for resolving our differences and coming together to celebrate our common goals and values. First to the Full Moon chart for Nov. 4 in Tanta.
Taurus Full Moon 2017: Nov. 4, 2017, 7:23 am 2E, Fanta Egypt: 30N47, 31E00
You can see how diffuse this chart is. The planets are scattered among nine of the 12 houses of the wheel in what astrologers often call a splash chart because the planets are not closely concentrated but are are all over the place. This may represent, in an individual birth chart, a personality that will scatter its energies in many directions, so that its main life challenge may be to find focus and make up one’s mind toward specific creative and spiritual goals.
In the more general terms that pertain to the life of a society or even our entire planet, this kind of chart represents a moment when people are either not seeing how they can come together in concord, or are determined not to coalesce with others. The chart is highly divisive and distractive, and is therefore perfect for a moment when some human beings are working on creative resolution, while others are spoiling for a fight.
How does the chart reflect this? There are no conjunctions of planets coming together to form alliances. But there are oppositions. The two horseshoe-shaped Moon’s Nodes in the 3rd and 9th houses don’t really count because these two points are always exactly opposed to each other. The more relevant opposition is the Moon in Taurus in the 6th house opposite to the Sun in Scorpio in the 12th. Significantly, the Taurus Moon is in the 6th house of health and service, while the Sun and Jupiter are hidden in the 12th house of spirituality, mysticism, secrets and shadows, so that their energies are not yet fully formed for outward expression in the light of day.
As Jupiter is the planet of government, law and other institutions of established wealth and power, such as hospitals, universities, churches and corporations, is it likely that this Full Moon will be a time of very complex plotting and conspiring, of secret plans and manoeuvers in the dark and behind closed doors? Of course it is, and this is why there is feverish speculation now about who is stirring the pot of rage and hatred. Is it likely that the Powers That Be are funding insurrectionary organizations, in the way that they have been doing for many years in order to intensify conflict, and increase control by stoking the lower emotional frequencies of fear, envy, shame, rage and hate? Of course it is.
It is not our purpose to speculate on the design of control in all its intricacy, to show how powerful political and economic interests are supporting both sides in the fight. They’ve been doing this ever since the Napoleonic Wars, in funding both sides of the conflict in order to increase profits from the sale of armaments and above all to maximize the war debt that governments incur. The main difference now is that the archons are running the show with greater deception and secrecy.
But the bankers and the merchants of death are not the only ones who enjoy a tremendous opportunity at this time. In the 4th house of this Full Moon chart the planet Neptune in the sign of Pisces is at a 120° trine to the Sun in Scorpio in the 12th house, and a 60° sextile to the Taurus Moon in the 6th house. This means that those who wish to promote the raising and expanding of consciousness are empowered now with the Neptunian forces of compassion, imagination, intuition, empathy, archetypal symbol and dreams, all in the service of the core values that keep home and community living in harmony as represented by the 4th house of the home and the mother.
There is another notable opposition in this chart, between Venus in Libra in the 11th house of friends and community, and Uranus the bringer of change in the 5th house of creativity in the impetuous warrior sign of Aries. This opposition can be seen as conflict between implacable forces that are determined to get their own way, and communal forces that are looking for ways to align people in harmony. It may also mean, because a planetary opposition is not necessarily conflictive or negative, that complementary signs and planets are in a relationship of harmonious tension, like the relationship of two collaborating artists who do not always agree, or lovers who are attracted by each other’s very different personalities.
This means, and we’ve seen it happening again and again since this series of Moon videos began in March 2016, that the moment of the Black Moon or the Full Moon offers both the danger of conflict and opportunities for cohesion depending on which one we want to see and use. The energies that enable us to come together to create a New World are always present. The question is whether we’re motivated by the lower mind, which seeks difference and conflict, and gravitates to the lower fear zone of our emotional frequencies, or by the higher mind which sees us united in love and affirming our common values and goals. Which will we choose?
One more notable thing in this Full Moon chart is the 90° ”square” between severe Saturn in Sagittarius, at the bottom of the first house, and Chiron the Wounded Healer in the 4th house, in the sign of Pisces. The disharmonious tension between these two astringent planets becomes exact tomorrow on November 2. As Saturn continues to move forward while Chiron is moving backwards, the crunch between these two planets will gradually dissolve in the months ahead. We are crossing the peak of the crisis now. And we’re not the only ones under stress. It’s worth a moment of our time to look at the chart of the man who is the focus and the crucible of all this astonishing rage, heat, zeal and self-righteous devotion.
Donald Trump: June 14, 1946, 10:54 am EDT, Jamaica, NY: 40N41, 73W48
The chart of Donald Trump shows a strong concentration of planets on the left side of the chart, that is, the side of individuality and personal self-expression, while there are fewer planets on the right side of teamwork and partnership. So this is clearly the chart of an individualist with a powerful 10th house, the arena of one’s profession and life as a public figure operating in the world.
Is Trump in danger? He surely is. Mars and Pluto in his 12th house of secrets and shadows may well represent people acting in secret to overthrow him, and to inflict even more grievous harm. So is it likely that he is going to be assassinated? No. Your Captain is not a doom pimp who would ever predict such a thing. Trump should be seen in relation to planet transits that represent the unfolding of karmic events in historic time. He weathered some crises recently, when Saturn in Sagittarius moved across Trump’s Moon and South Moon’s Node in his 4th house, and also opposite to his Uranus, his North Moon’s Node and his Sun in Gemini in his 10th house. All of these challenging planet transits happened between mid-August and early October, that is, the time of violent events in Charlottesville and Las Vegas, and the ensuing, altogether fantastic Gemini propaganda spin that Trump and others had to create in response to the troubles.
Why is it a good bet that Trump will complete his first term in office and may even be re-elected? Because his challenges and chances are reflected in his planet transits, now and in the years ahead. As Saturn keeps moving into Trump’s 5th house of creativity, Saturn will oppose Mercury, his own position and Venus, all in Capricorn in the 11th house, in the years from 2018 to 2020. The same time span applies to the activities of Uranus, the revolutionary and bringer of change, now in the 9th house of Trump’s chart in impetuous Aries. Uranus is coming into an exact, long-lasting and superb 120° trine with Trump’s Leo ascendant. It may well happen that 2020 is a far better year for Donald Trump that anyone can imagine.
It is even possible that within three years, those of us who think we are enlightened and compassionate, yet continue to indulge old habits of directing blame and judgment against others, will wake up and see that what we resist, persists. Trump is not going away. He is a catalyst and irritant from Divine Casting, here to make our higher selves come together and learn to outgrow conflict.
How is the Festival in Tanta a wonderful model of how this works? The festival is a moulid, that is, a seasonal festival that is spiritual and communal rather than religious, though of course the usual priests attempt to control the festival in the way that Islamic authorities do now. But, even within its frame of Muslim dogma and conformity, the festival has room for, and gets its headiest juice from, the presence and the joyous singing of Sufis who come here from all over the world for experiences of ecstasy and all-embracing mystical vision.
The festival commemorates the story of the 13th-century saint Ahmad al-Badawi, who is said to have somehow wound up imprisoned in Rome, maybe even in the famous Mamertine prison itself, and who, through the spiritual intervention and devotion of his beloved friend in Egypt, was plucked up through the roof of the prison, and through the air all the way across the Mediterranean to land in Tanta. And why not? Such charming stories are really no more outrageous than the one about the baby who would grow up to be the Buddha starting to walk right after he was born, causing lotus flowers to pop up from his footsteps. And no more outrageous than the myth that we are born into original sin because we are the descendants of two primal ancestors who were sold an apple by a snake. Given a choice of charming religious stories, I like the Tanta Festival and its tale of the power of faith and love to liberate another person from oppression. It sure beats martyrdom and Hell.
But even in joyous Tanta, religious passions can be aroused quickly, as I found out when I visited the autumn festival with a young American woman. I was dressed in the same galabeyah robe that I’ve worn in An Evening with Rumi. We got to enjoy the company, the tea and the songs of Sufis who welcomed us lovingly. When we went into the mosque vestibule, some of the people in the crowd decided, amazingly, that I was the incarnation of Ahmad al-Badawi himself. These fervent believers wanted to carry in me into the mosque, while other people who could see that I was obviously not Ahmad al-Badawi were determined, and very pushingly so, to keep me out. To escape a struggle that was getting unpleasant fast, Tessa and I wormed our way through the crowd and out the door. Al-Badawi vanishes again.
As we now navigate such delusive, unfastened and explosive conditions this week, many people are advising others, as the Nov. 4 protests approach, not to be present at any of the events, for the sake of their own health and safety. A few people are saying, please do not stoke these events with your intention. Remember that hate is the most fattening of all poisons, so that whatever we hate gets bigger and stronger.
Do we really have only two choices for Nov. 4, either to participate in conflictive and potentially violent events, or to stay home and not be engaged? Is there a third possibility that represents the best use of our energy and intention? Yes, there is: create and produce small communal rituals on November 4, to gather people in love and reverence for one another, and for their planet. This is why I am one of the people who will produce on November 4, in Urubamba Peru, a sacred music concert by the famous Andean shamanic musician Tito La Rosa. The concert is called Paqarina. This quechua word signifies the connection that human beings have with water, with the birth of water in lakes and ponds, and also the water in the body of Pachamama, the mother, the giver of birth and health and abundance.
Do efforts such as this also show in the Nov. 4 Full Moon chart? Yes. We look at one more alignment, a beautiful 120° trine between Saturn in the first house and Uranus in the 5th. This time Uranus and Saturn are not lining up against each other as the unstoppable force and the immovable object, but in a positive alliance that has great creative potential because Uranus is in the 5th house of creativity.
The astrologer Reinhold Ebertin saw in this combination “the ability to cope with every situation, the power to pull through and to endure, perseverance and endurance, indefatigability, will-power, determination.” We can grow stronger now by overcoming resistance, and turning dangerous situations to our advantage. This Full Moon will require creative patience from us: not just the passive enduring of hardship, but the active creation of something better from the resources of our best visions and our hearts. How do we do this? One hint. You can’t laugh and fight at the same time.
There is more about spiritual strategies that may help at this moment, and in the time ahead, in the interview that Maureen St. Germain did with me for her Waking Up in 5D Telesummit. Just follow the link and choose my interview from the list on the presenters’ page.
Keep Holding That Frequency. This is Captain Aquarius, DBA Dan Furst, coming to you on Nov. 1, 2017 from Pisac, Peru.
Hello and welcome. This is Captain Aquarius, coming to you on October 15, 2017 with a new video about Aquarian Airlines flight 1019, coming at the Libra Black Moon four days from now.
The October 19 Black Moon may be the most powerful, the most complex and the most important lunation of the entire year, positioned as the climactic event in a rapidly intensifying cycle of problem, response, failed solution, crisis and rage that has brought whole societies to the burning and bursting point. The main practical question that confronts us now at the Dawn of the Age of Aquarius, is:
How will we, as souls who have come here now to liberate ourselves and one another, and to create the New Earth, respond to the ever more obvious attempts by controllers to keep us stupefied, terrified, in the dark and unready to be free?
One question that many astrologers are attempting to handle patiently now, as we are hearing it every day, is: When is it going to get better? The answer is: It is going to start getting better when we do what we can to make it better. Is this even possible? Are we only sufferers and spectators, living passively under conditions that we can do nothing to change? Or – are we proactive, powerful beings whose actions and intentions may catalyze the outcomes we want?
These questions are in the two world views that contend against each other now.
One view says that the world is the way it is, it has always been this way and it always will be this way. Events and people and other things come and go, but nothing is ever going to change the fundamental rules of the game. Human beings are always going to behave the way we do because human nature compels us to be this way. People who hold this worldview tend to be Saturnian in the conservative sense of what this planet represents. They want things to remain the same, and resist anything that challenges their views about how the world must be, how their nation must be, and how their society’s values must be preserved and respected.
The opposite view is that there’s no such thing as human nature. There is human conditioning, from imprints that are made on us by our parents, teachers, families and societies. We are conditioned as well by our karma and the terms of our sacred contracts. People who presuppose such things see the world as mutable, a kind of artist’s medium that we can shape and refine according to our skill and our awareness. Thus, spiritual revolution and other kinds of revolution – political, social, cultural – may all appear possible because as individual human beings and as communities we are capable of change and conscious evolution.
We have known this for decades. The thing that is different now is that we are clearly in the showdown between those who intend to keep humanity and all conscious beings under control through fear until they harvest us, and those who intend to liberate individual and collective consciousness into freedom, and states of greater awareness and love.
What is very different now is in the chart we’ll look at here. It is perfectly appropriate for the moment of decision that we have come to, and the circumstances under which we act.
Libra Black Moon 2017: Oct. 19, 2017 at 10:12 pm EED, Thessaloniki, Greece
This chart is cast for Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 10:12 PM Eastern Europe time in Thessaloniki, Greece. Why this location? Because this is one of the areas in which the Greeks are taking the energetic risk: doing what they can to accommodate the influx of refugees coming into Europe from Syria.
The European Hub chart design shows the actual sizes of the houses on the wheel, to make the angles of relationship among the planets easier to see. We begin with Saturn, who is on the right side of the chart in the sixth house at 23° of Sagittarius. Look next in the third house of the chart at the horseshoe shaped Moon’s Node in Leo, very close to 120° from Saturn’s position. And up in the 11th house, the planet Uranus, who looks like the letter H, is in the sign of Aries at a 120° degrees angle to both Saturn and the North Node. This three-planet equilateral triangle is called a Grand Trine. It’s traditionally considered a positive, stabilizing aspect that may reduce tension and conflict, and promote cooperation. In this case the deep teaching and the industrious energy of Saturn, combined with the inventiveness, the creativity and the technical mastery of Uranus the innovator, both planets in alliance with the North Moon’s Node as the gathering, strengthening, confirming force in group relationships, can complement our ability to cohere peacefully, yet powerfully, in order to create better conditions on our planet.
Inevitably, though — and much of our attention naturally goes to this because so many people are fearful and negative-minded now, and will do anything to remain in struggle rather than face the terrifying prospect of awakening and becoming free — we see another planet alignment that is very difficult and challenging. Saturn, the pivotal planet, is in this combination too. Look up at the top center of the chart in the 10th house, and you see Chiron the Wounded Healer (the letter K) at the 90° angle of a “square” to Saturn in the angle of disharmonious tension that puts two planets against each other in a friction that may help to bring about overdue and now inevitable change. At the bottom of the chart, at another 90° angle to Saturn and opposite to Chiron, the impatient Mars is at 28° of Virgo in the 4th house. This means that all of these planets are in strained alignments of 90° or 180° to each other, so their negative and difficult features prevail.
Saturn changes from the wise karmic teacher and the principle of determined, disciplined effort to the immovable object who refuses to consider change, or acknowledge anyone else’s right to propose anything different from what we are already doing. Mars at the bottom of the chart is no longer in his valuable role as the protector and the warrior acting in service. He is out for a fight, and as Mars is in Virgo there will be intense suppressed anger. And as Chiron is also afflicted he becomes the reverse of the healer: the wounder who is determined to negate whatever you like.
How are these basic conditions in the chart being reflected by the events of our time? We consider first the aftermath of the most outrageous false flag attack we have seen yet, the alleged murder by a lone gunman of people in the audience at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival. According to reports which appeared on TV news almost immediately after the event, almost as though the television newsers were in on the plot, a lone gunman named Stephen Paddock opened fire with automatic weapons from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, and he killed 58 people, and wounded 546, before the police were able to find Paddock and kill him. Or he killed himself. The story keeps changing.
Questions naturally abound how Paddock could carry all the weapons to his hotel room in a total of 12 suitcases without arousing any suspicion and without triggering the metal detectors a hotel normally has just inside the entrance way.
How was he able to fire with deadly effect from such an awkward angle, as shown in the diagram here, from a window 450 meters, or 490 yards, from where his targets were gathered? How was it that the news has been sanitized again, so that many eyewitness reports of multiple shooters on the scene were suppressed and ignored? How is it that the Las Vegas sheriff and other law officers have had to change their story? Why did the FBI confiscate the smart phones, iPads and other devices of all the concert staff? And why did the concert staff find, when they got their phones back, that the FBI had erased all memory from their devices — all messages, all photos, all the video footage? It’s another Archon master stroke of fishy mysteries and smelly suppositions that breed like May flies on the Internet and the alternative media, though not of course on the mainstream news.
For a better understanding of these events and the patterns that connect them, the definitive source is the Norwegian-born Swedish writer and researcher Ole Dammegard, most of all his video Terror, Are You Kidding Me? from the Open Mind conference in 2016. He was also interviewed, six days after the Las Vegas shootings, about the inconsistencies and strange symbols connected with the event.
Many of the strange features seen often in these events before were present here. Photos of discarded shoes. The color purple, featured prominently in photos of the medical response teams and others. There is an obelisk or pyramid in the vicinity of the crime, and a vigil that begins in fake spontaneity as thousands of candles appear as if by magic. The staging of the event, and the media coverage of it, are so transparently false and cynical the only way to keep people from obsessing about it it was to create another distraction that could be even more obsessive to the most passionate and excitable people in the society.
Re-enter Colin Kaepernick, at right in this picture, the former quarterback of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. He ignited a small controversy last year when he chose to protest US racism, and the murders of black men by white police, by kneeling instead of standing during the national anthem. Kaepernick was called a crybaby, a whining millionaire and a malcontent who hates America, hates the flag, hates the troops. Few fellow players supported him last year. He was only one guy. But his Take a Knee gesture has gone viral in 2017. Now, in the second month of the new NFL season, not just one or two players, but many on all teams, were kneeling, even sitting during the national anthem while other players and coaches were at attention, hands over their hearts in the traditional gesture of patriotism and respect.
A cataclysm of Righteous Christian red white and blue rage erupted by Week 3 of the season, trapping NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, the team owners, coaches and television sponsors in an impossible dilemma. If we side with the protesting players, then millions of angry right wing shouters and flagwavers will stop buying tickets and all the toys – caps, jackets, jerseys, bags, pennants and all the other things that each team sells. The fans will stop watching the games on TV, they’ll boycott the NFL’s TV sponsors, they’ll demand that the US government rescind the NFL’s tax breaks and multizillion dollar sweetheart deals with the military.
On the dilemma’s other horn: if the NFL were to take a hard line against the protesting players, even suspend or fire them, then the quality of the game would suffer, free speech — remember that? — would be compromised, teams who should have been postseason contenders would lose to bad teams and not make the playoffs. One way or another, somebody is losing hundreds of millions of dollars. Decision makers have ducked and dithered for weeks, and were damned whatever they did, as was Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin, who kept his team in the locker room during the Star Spangled Banner, thinking he’d get to be neutral during “divisive times.”
It got much uglier in NFL Week 4, on the very Sunday of the Las Vegas murders. With the lone exception of quarterback Derek Carr, all of the Oakland Raiders players took a knee during the Star Spangled Banner, and one of Carr’s teammates allegedly warned him that if you stand alone for the anthem, you can stand alone during the game too. Carr was sacked four times when his offensive line failed to protect him, and several of his passes were strangely bobbled and dropped by his receivers. He suffered a lateral transverse fracture in his back, and his teammates were accused of throwing the game – a charge that might have been addressed severely and at once under less heated and hairy conditions. The whole foofaw may or may not come to an end soon. This is, after all, America. Business almost always wins. One of the best at business, owner Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, announced to his players that anyone who took a knee would be benched for the game.
As Week Six arrives, America will decide where its true faith is. Many Americans, millions of them, are more in love with and devoted to football than they are to anything else in their lives. They are disoriented now, confused and frustrated by people on both sides who would rather fight than end a fight. The most fervent fans are without the thing that gives them a sense of belonging and a chance to share an ecstatic experience with many others. In short, their religion has been hijacked. Not only is football a religion, with hallowed and fiercely guarded rites. Football is a leveler, too, that encourages women to be as coarse and loud as men, and gives men a way to dress up in colorful, outrageous costumes without worrying that anyone will think they’re gay.
The whole elaborate illusion, the ecstatic dance, the false story that creates a believable lie – is the domain of Neptune, who’s conjunct the Midheaven in the Black Moon chart, near the bold line right of top center. Here is the deception and concealment, the religious fervor, the submerging of the truth under engaging bubbles. Here, Neptune is in the position Jonathan Swift had in mind when he wrote this in A Tale of a Tub:
“For if we take an examination of what is generally understood by happiness, as it has respect either to the understanding or the senses, we shall find all its properties and adjuncts will herd under this short definition, that it is a perpetual possession of being well-deceived. And first, with relation to the mind or understanding, it is manifest what mighty advantages fiction has over truth, and the reason is just at our elbow: because imagination can build nobler scenes and produce more wonderful revolutions than fortune or Nature will be at the expense to furnish.”
One question that comes now is: In whose interest is it to keep stoking the rage, so that the tremendous wave of fire it has generated – no wonder California is ablaze, perhaps with artificially-created, weaponized fires – doesn’t just dissipate, but can be directed to some purpose. Never underestimate the power of millions of true believers united in passionate rage and hate. Look what it did for the Nazi movement.
The crises can go either way. But with the magnificent features in this Black Moon chart, including above all the crown jewel – Moon and Sun in the 5th house of creativity in a very tight opposition to revolutionary Uranus in the 11th, with the brave communicative force of Jupiter and Mercury also linked to the great lights — we are superbly positioned, if we choose to see our opportunity and use it, and to free our people from ignorance, and from being the hapless prey of parasites and fabricators. But we have to take action.
We teach what we know, as Michael Morris and I will do again at our first astrology class in Cusco on Saturday Oct. 21st. And we get creative. It is beginning to get clear, is it not, that if we want to free ourselves from the Archons, the banksters and their slave managers, that we had best get ready to put on a better show than they do?
Get ready. Keep holding that frequency.
This is Captain Aquarius, coming to you and DBA as Dan Furst, on Oct. 15, 2017, from Pisac, Peru.
101917BlackMoonSaloniki video on YouTube
Hello and welcome. This is Captain Aquarius, coming to you on September 30, 2017 with an announcement about Aquarian Airlines flight 105, headed for Moscow at the Full Moon on October 5.
We’ll also look at the birth chart and astral maps of the world leader whose birthday is eleven days after the Full Moon, and who now increasingly emerges as perhaps the most impactful geopolitical strategist of our time.
September 30 is important because this is the annual date when American politicians have to find a way to agree on how much money they are going to borrow from the Federal Reserve so the American government can keep operating for another year.
They hate doing this so much that this year President Donald Trump cut through all the chicken games by offering top Democrats a deal without clearing it first with the shocked, flabbergasted leaders of his own party. The legislators agreed to raise the US national debt ceiling to 19 trillion dollars. Welcome to the Chaos Hour in the American reality TV of 2017.
The debt ceiling is fiction. It is an imaginary number that is designed to reassure the people of the country that someone is actually minding the store and is making an effort to ensure that the national debt is somehow under control. The reality, as you know, is that the debt will never be repaid, because the whole point of the debt-based financial system created by the Khazarian bankers is to ensure that the debt will grow until the banking cartel owns everything from Park Place to Pluto.
The debt ceiling, and the idea that the debt can be repaid, are as substantial and real as the Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus and the pearly gates through which devout religious believers imagine that they are going to enter the kingdom of heaven and play harps of gold forever and ever.
How much is $19 trillion dollars? Think of it this way. Total up the number of days that have passed from the year One until now. Multiply two thousand and seventeen years by three hundred and sixty five days, you get some 731,000 days. If you divide $19 trillion by 731,000, then what you get is $26 million dollars for every day since Jesus was born.
You’ve no doubt heard the famous statement that there are two ways to enslave a nation: by the sword, and through debt. The man who said this was not John Adams, the second president of the United States, but John G. Adams. He is all but forgotten now, but in 1953, he was the famous military counsel who defended his fellow officers from charges by Senator Joseph McCarthy that the senior officer corps of the United States Army was infested by communists.
John G. Adams gave his warning about debt in the year the CIA overthrew the democratically elected government of Mohamed Mossadegh in Iran and installed the Shah, eight years before Dwight D. Eisenhower warned his country about the danger of the military industrial complex, and ten years before John F. Kennedy was assassinated for issuing an executive order that the Federal Reserve be abolished, and the National bank of the United States be reestablished as a public governmental agency. The reckoning for all of it is at hand.
Make no mistake about it. We are nearing the time when the entire structure of financial chicanery is about to disintegrate. One sure sign of it was the recent statement by Jamie Dimon, CEO of J. P. Morgan Chase, the largest of the big four American banks, that Bitcoin and other virtual currencies are a “fraud.” The extreme irony of this, that an arch-fraudster and criminal should accuse anyone else of fraud, has been noticed here and there. What will soon be more noticed is what Mr. Dimon’s desperate attack really says: that the banksters and the rest of the corporatist archons are losing it, and must now try everything to shore up for a little longer the illusion that they are still in control.
How is all of this – the fall of the baking cartel and the empowerment of broad-based creative community — reflected in the Full Moon chart that we see here? It is cast for Moscow, Russia on October 5 at 9:40 pm.
Aries Full Moon of 2017: Oct. 5 at 9:40 pm in Moscow, Russia
The major leverage of change begins in the top center of the chart, where the Moon in the sign of Aries, the hunter, the initiator and impetuous attacker, is opposite to the Libra Sun conjunct Mercury at the bottom of the chart. At the left, the Ascendant at 10° of the sign of Cancer is in a 90° square to the two great lights, and at the right side of the chart in the seventh house, the planet Pluto is in a loose opposition to the Ascendant and 90° “squares” to the Moon and Sun. This means that these four points on the chart constitute a Grand Cross of four 90° angles, and thus propel overdue change.
Notice also that to the left of the Aries Moon in the eleventh House is the planet Uranus, the bringer of change, the revolutionary, the magician and trickster, creator of surprising and magical effects. He is in opposition to Jupiter, the money, the bank, and the established institutions of wealth and power, in Libra. The opposition between these two, which we noted in our Sept. 20 Black Moon video, and which was exact on Sept. 28, two days before the latest debt ceiling trick, is still potent, although it is gradually dissolving as Jupiter moves forward in his orbit. This fading opposition reflects the recent financial conflict, shadowboxing and foolishness by politicians and financial powers.
Another important element in the chart also involves the volatile and surprising Uranus, in the Grand Trine that we have been watching for months. Uranus in the eleventh house, in Aries, is at roughly 120° from the Moon’s North Node in the third house in the sign of Leo, and Saturn in the sign of Sagittarius in the sixth house. The alliance of these three, particularly the trine between the Moon’s Node and Saturn, offers us way to cooperate and communicate for purposes of being co-creative in a spirit of synarchy, that is, shared power among equals rather than the powerlessness of people squirming under an oppressive hierarchy.
Please take a look at Saturn, who is gradually moving forward in his orbit into a tighter 90° square with Chiron the Wounded Healer, who looks like the letter K in the 10th house of the chart. That’s why we can anticipate that the reckoning for current mistakes, denials and evasions is likely to be coming not right away, but around November 6th. More about this when we look at next month’s powerful Full Moon in Scorpio.
Lastly for this chart, we look at the position of Pluto at 16° of Capricorn. We are going to take this current planet position and apply it to the chart of Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, who will turn 65 this month. Putin is being attacked and hated by so many vicious and corrupt people, who blame him for their every mistake and crime, that it is time now to look more closely at the birth chart and astrocartography maps of this very important geopolitical figure.
Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin was born on October 16, 1952 at 9:30 PM in what was then still Leningrad, and had not yet reverted to being St. Petersburg, Russia. We begin this look at his chart in the 11th house of friends, community, social activity and social activism, including among other things the way that we network and publicize ourselves through social media and other ways of broadcasting images and ideas.
Vladimir Putin: Oct. 16, 1952 at 9:30 am UZT in St. Petersburg, Russia
Putin has a brilliant combination of his Libra Sun, Neptune and Saturn all in a close triple conjunction here, meaning that he has a serious, businesslike demeanor that is lightened by flashes of humor – both of these traits are Saturnian — and is very likely to be a master of creating fantasy images of himself and images as well of the power and majesty of this country.
Like the famous Princess Diana, another person who had a powerful Neptune position in her chart, and created dazzling images of herself as an ideal object of fantasy and beauty, Putin too is a genius in manipulating media more brilliantly than anyone since Napoleon Bonaparte, who had himself painted heroically on horseback, but lived centuries before another memester would be Photoshopped into riding sharks, eagles, dinosaurs and unicorns.
Notice also that Saturn, at 18° of Libra in the 11th house, is in a tight 90° square with Uranus, the revolutionary and bringer of change who is in the ninth house of institutions of authority and power. This means that Putin will very likely be a figure similar to Peter the Great, to whom he is often compared as one who wants to bring about widespread changes faster than others want to accept them.
But unlike Peter, who attempted to create change at a pace that stupefied his backward country, Putin is attempting to do the same thing on a global scale and is meeting fierce, predictable resistance.
In the first house of the chart, Venus in Scorpio is in a very tight 120° trine with the Moon in the 10th house of his profession, and of the way in which we are known in the world. It will not surprise us, then, to see Putin presenting himself in images that are sexy and exciting. He can’t miss, really. His Ascendant is in Scorpio, the discreet if not furtive sign of espionage and codes, so that like Louis XIV, another artist of opacity, Putin excels at concealing himself while getting others to expose themselves, and plays the sexual magnetism card to maximum effect.
Note also the position of the North Moon’s Node, the horseshoe-shaped symbol at 19° of the revolutionary sign of Aquarius in the third house of communications. This Moon’s Node, the gathering and strengthening force in group relationships, is in a 120° trine with Putin’s triple solar conjunction in Libra, so he uses the state-of-the-art medium of Russia TV to present himself as an agent of beneficial change, fighting to free his country and his allies from financial strangulation by the Khazarian banking cartel. Where do those pinstriped felons appear in his chart? In the predictable place, where Jupiter in the money sign of Taurus, in his 7th house, opposes his Venus, which places the banksters in the uncomfortable position of trying in vain to seduce a man who can outseduce anybody.
Now for the nuance of timing that makes 2017 through 2020 the climactic make-or-break years for Putin and those who are for or against him. Do you remember the current position on Pluto at 16° of the sign of Capricorn that we looked at a little while ago in the Full Moon chart? Well, take that planet and place him now in the same spot, just inside the third house of Putin’s birth chart at 16° of Capricorn, and notice the tremendous planet relationships that will form next year, when Pluto gets to 18° of Capricorn.
Count ‘em. Pluto will come into an exact 180° opposition with Uranus, the bringer of change in the 9th house, an exact and very empowering 120° trine with Jupiter in his 7th house, and a 90° square with Saturn in Libra in his 11th house. All three combinations are coming at the same time through all of 2018, because Pluto moves very slowly in his 248-year orbit, and his transits last long and work deep.
As Pluto keeps moving ahead slowly in 2019 and 2020, you can see how many aspects of death and regeneration, most of them very favorable to him, Pluto will form with planets in the 21° and 22° positions of their respective signs. Does all of this mean we can expect to see Putin facing formidable challenges and overcoming them with increasing success in the years to come? You can bet your dacha on it.
Right now, in October of 2017 we are in the 75th anniversary of the famous battle of Stalingrad in what the Russians call the Great Patriotic War. The siege and countersiege of Stalingrad lasted from August 1942 to January 1943, when what was left of the German 6th Army was marched off to Siberia after the Russians had achieved the astonishing success of capturing an entire German army, and achieving what is now recognized as the turning point of World War II.
2017 and 2018 are the 75th anniversary of these heroic events. Is it likely that Putin is going to play these months for maximum publicity effect? The answer is clear in both his chart and his astrocartography maps. We’ll look at only a couple of them here, excerpted from my book Maps of Power, which shows why Putin’s maps are uncannily accurate for not only Russia, but for the Middle East, China, the centers of power in the USA, and Western Europe.
Vladimir Putin: North Russia
In this map of northern Russia, we see within range of Putin’s birthplace in St. Petersburg a dark red Pluto line that spells ambition and an appetite for big risks, and is a perfect match for his early career as a spook in the KGB. Even closer to St. Petersburg is a green line of Mercury the communicator, defining along with the Pluto line Putin’s position as a man who reveals everything that is entertaining while concealing what is vital.
Stronger in its effect is the royal blue Jupiter line of governmental power east of Moscow, running in close parallel to the powder blue Venus line that embodies Putin’s attractive force as a manifestor of his own heroic myth. Also relevant here is the gray Moon line farther east, the Goddess line aiming upward to the Soul. One thing that makes Putin’s position very strong and believable among his own people is that he doesn’t just fake love of country for photo shoots. He means it, as a man of sincere patriotism and religious faith.
It is fascinating to see where these advantageous blue lines go when we see Putin’s map of southern Russia.
Vladimir Putin: South Russia and Turkey
They both go through western Turkey, his Jupiter line very close to Istanbul, so Putin will likely have an easier time with the Turks than any Russian ruler ever. His Venus line runs west and within range of the city that is now called Volgograd, but was once Stalingrad. Can we expect vivid patriotic spectacle in and about this place next month and through January? You bet.
For more on this, and what we hope will be an entertaining way to cover it, you can tune in to the monthly astrology class that Michael Morris and I will teach in Pisac, Peru right on the night of the Full Moon: Thursday Oct. 5 at 5:00 pm in Peru time, which is equal to US central time.

Keep Holding That Frequency. Cheers, nazdarovya. This is Captain Aquarius, doing business again as Dan Furst, coming to you on Sept. 30, 2017 from Pisac, Peru.
Hello, and welcome. This is Captain Aquarius, coming to you on Sept. 16, 2017, with a word about Aquarian Airlines flight 920, soon to depart at the Black Moon of Sept. 20 from Pisac, Peru to Berlin, Germany.
Please note that as Aquarian Air is a virtual airline rather than an actual literal enterprise with physical aircraft, mechanics, pilots and cabin crew, baggage handlers, desk staff and stockholders, the destination of flight 920 to Berlin does not mean that I am going to be flying over Potsdamer Platz four days from now.
As was the case with our last post, focused on Istanbul at the Sept. 6 Full Moon – and thanks to those who wrote to express their concern at my seemingly unfastened decision to wing another long flight so soon, just after I’ve paid the sleep debt from a journey of 8 1/2 months — this flight too is virtual and imaginary. We concentrate on the capital of Germany at the moment because the Bundestag elections coming on Sept. 24 make this place a crucial focus and fulcrum in the world’s politics, financial schemes, religious deliria and the swirling currents of human passion, illusion, desire and belief that move it all.
As we’re about to see, we’re still very much within the shimmering, Neptunian stream of events and impressions that we watched two weeks ago. To fill in your acquaintance with Neptune and what he represents, you can take a look at FullMoon9617Istanbul. We will also track the flow of the year in relation to the other planet, besides Neptune, who is now in the Neptune-ruled sign of Pisces: Chiron the Healer, who embodies our ways of healing and wounding others, and of recognizing, addressing and transcending our own illusions of woundedness.
The frame that encloses this month’s high nebulous weirdness and cumulating friction is the recurring square, or 90° angle, between Saturn in Sagittarius and Chiron in Pisces. You see them in this Black Moon chart, Saturn in the 3rd house of communications, Chiron in the 6th house of health and service.
Virgo Black Moon, 2017
Sept. 20, 2017 at 7:29 am CET, Berlin Germany
The importance of this 90° planet relationship, between Saturn and Chiron, cannot be overestimated. It is a “master aspect” in the sense that it links two relatively slow-moving “outer” planets for years at a time in a “hard” combination that promotes change and thereby creates proactive creativity on one side of the collective human desire field, and implacable, even violent resistance on the other. Like the subtle but very powerful conjunction of Neptune and Chiron and Pisces (2008 – 2012) and the explosive 90° square between Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn (2012 – 2016), the Saturn and Chiron square we are in now will bring these two planets into scrape and rattle against each other over a span of nearly two years, from the end of 2016 through the late months of next year. Even when they are linked in a “positive” aspect, such as a 60° sextile or a 120° trine, Saturn and Chiron are in an ever-uneasy father-son relationship – see 51017FullMoon for more on their intense mythic antagonism – that has at its core the theme of resistance.
Inevitably so, because Saturn is the heavy, conservative force of limitation that wants to slow change, if not block it altogether, while Chiron is the medicinal force that aims to promote necessary change in easy and painless ways when possible – human beings rarely go for this – or by more astringent and painful means when necessary, as is usually the case. Not because Chiron is in any way mean or sadistic – in Greek mythology, he was famous for his kindness – but because human beings will not normally resonate with a patient cure by brown rice, papaya juice, copal salve and healthy music when they can opt for the sting and sear of antiseptics that shouldn’t have been needed at all.
Chiron and Saturn are now nearing the middle a three-act drama, in which the critical, climactic scenes of each act come right at the time when the two planets are in an exact 90° square with each other.
Act One ran from late 2016 through the spring of this year. As Saturn is the karmic teacher and enforcer of the non-performance clause in our sacred contracts, and Chiron is both the medicinal force and the agony of our deepest and most difficult wounds, the antipathy of their disharmonious tension in a square manifested predictably in the most dishonest, deceptive, sleazy and seamy election in American history, and the elevation of an insecure and gaseous reality TV star to the presidency of the United States. The ferociously indignant reaction to this, in a piñata of lies big enough to cover all of Turtle Island, came at the same time as the French and Iranian election battles of last spring.
While the Iranian result was predictable and the French outcome in some ways even thrilling, the USA has remained stuck for an entire 9-month birth cycle in the same paradigm of unyielding ignorance, as the enemies of Donald Trump seem dead set on not understanding that what we resist, persists. This is why the more they attack Trump, the stronger he gets, and the more they try to isolate him, the more he attracts alliances that can preserve him. Look at the men he furthers.
When in doubt, enrich the army. Whether Trump is now a puppet of the armed forces, or a ruler in the manner of the Roman emperor Septimius Severus (193 – 211 AD) – “Take care of the army,” he said, “and everything else takes care of itself” – hardly matters. The same academic question, of whether Trump is a free player or a captive, applies also to the Khazarian bankers. They will benefit most handsomely from the disastrous deal that Trump struck last week with key Democratic legislators, to raise the US debt ceiling yet again before Sept. 30, the annual day of financial reckoning for the US government. More on this in our next lunation post, for the Aries Full Moon of Oct. 5.
Back to the dramaturgy of Saturn vs. Chiron. Act Three of their play will come next summer, and most climactically and explosively in August 2018, because Chiron will have moved ahead into the aggressive fire sign of Aries, while Saturn will be in the sign of Capricorn that he rules. Thus Saturn and Chiron will play, respectively, the same roles that Pluto in Capricorn and Uranus in Aries played as they moved in square to each other from the lifting of the cosmic veil in December 2012 through the US election bozomania of 2016.
What’s the difference? We see it now in the rising action of Act Two, which will come to its climax in the first days of November. The German election campaign, now entering its homestretch, has classic Saturnian and Chironic figures. In this corner, in the earth brown trunks, is Chancellor Angela Merkel, whose bland election pitches, typical for a ruling party that wants to keep things as they are, match her time-honored posture of causing no trouble by doing as little as possible. It is literally true that the German language now has the new verb merkeln, which means to do nothing, as in “Ich habe zu lange gemerkelt, um Bitcoin zu kaufen, also mache ich mir Sorgen, dass ich verschraubt bin.” – that is, “ I’ve done nothing for too long about buying Bitcoin, so I worry that I’m screwed.”
In the other corner, in the fascist red trunks – and apologies to kindly Chiron for this comparison – is the nationalist, racist Alternativ für Deutschland, the xenophobic third party that has much to win and nothing to lose, and therefore trumpets its No Muslims Here, Take Your Burkas Back to Baghdad messages in images that are as stark and provocative as Nazi propaganda used to be, couched in the same fear-dark colors – or in playful, sexy images that say, we’re making all the new Germans we need, thank you. We don’t need any more coming in from somewhere else, hiding Gott weiß was under all that black muslin.
Again, the link with Chiron here is very shaky, and applies only insofar as those who take an extreme Chironic position are hell-bent on applying any rough remedy, no matter who gets hurt. The main flavor of the German election campaign is actually more Neptunian, as we saw briefly in our last post and can lay out more precisely now, as three of the planets we see in Virgo in the 11th and 12th house of the Virgo Black Moon chart are either in exact opposition to Neptune now, or will be in the days and weeks ahead. Here’s the misty menu.
Sept. 18 – 22, exact on Sept. 20: Mercury opposite Neptune. Mercury, the air planet of mentality and details, analysis and communications, who shores up his position by arranging everything in lists, shelves and boxes, moves opposite Neptune, the planet of mystical consciousness and dreams, who dissolves all boundaries and definitions. The Tower of Babel comes right at the Black Moon, as head beings and heart beings, truth tellers and fakers, wordsmiths and dream tellers are all speaking different languages at the climactic moment of an election campaign, and no one can agree on whether facts are important, or even exist; or whether all that matters from moment to moment is how we feel. The classic afflicted Neptune themes – fantasy, lack of clarity, self-deception and deception by others, confusion, nervousness, insecurity – rule the Black Moon.
Sept. 21 – 28, exact on Sept. 24: Mars opposite Neptune. The perfect nexus for smoke and sizzle comes right on the German election day. Mars, the planet of the assertive, impatient, direct and rapid warrior, meets Neptune, the planet who avoids conflict by sinking under the water. Aggression will get us everything except what we want. Low, depressive energy and unclear goals yield vague dissatisfaction. Something in the German election outcome is not clear and right.
Sept. 28 – Oct. 2, exact on Sept. 30. Venus opposite Neptune. The Venusian force of attraction and manifestation, who knows exactly what she wants, lines up against the planet who’s not sure what he wants or whether he deserves it. A rich imagination can call forth gorgeous, glamorous illusions and reveries that are not only erotic, but glimmer across the entire spectrum of desire.
Also exact on Sept. 28 and in force through Oct. 10, is another transit of high importance, as Jupiter in Libra, in the first house of the Black Moon chart, opposes Uranus in the 8th house of changes and “other people’s money,” so the likelihood is very high that enterprising money players will pull out all the stops, making risky moves while they still can, before the petrodollar evaporates, virtual currencies careen and there is endless speculation about whether the gold in Fort Knox is safe (Sound effects: bozo horns, laughter), or is being moved to Indonesia, Antarctica or the Moon by Illuminati, Nazis, Khazarian bankers, Freemasons and Extraterrestrial pirates costumed as police. How to spot the ET police? They’re not the ones you see here. They don’t wear Kevlar, or use rocket-propelled grenades or ride in armored personnel vehicles. If you see a cop who’s not even carrying a .38 revolver, please be careful.
Jupiter is, in addition to being the money and the institutions of wealth and power, the mythic sky force whom the Greeks called Zeus Cloudgatherer because the lightning was the weapon – notice how much it looks like a Tibetan double dorje – that he used in leading the Olympians to defeat the Giants. He is the one who directs the storm for purposes of bringing change and healing, or for just keeping control, so it is no wonder that when Jupiter is so afflicted (notice how many planets and Moon’s Nodes are in the range of 23 – 27° in this chart) we experience a parade of hurricanes, earthquakes and floods that look suspiciously like human-engineered weather events. The good news here is that when the archons have to create distractions as extreme as these, they feel clammy in the hands and icy in the gut as power slips away.
It is just as well that the Moon and Sun in this chart are conjunct in the sign of Virgo, cautious and committed to service beyond its own needs and aims, in the 12th house of spirituality and mysticism, secrets and shadows, of energies and forces that are in formation and potential, not yet ready for expression in the light of day. While this Virgo Black Moon, like all Black Moons, is a moment of new beginning, it is not a moment for assertive action.
But the time for communal action will come soon. On Oct. 9 – 10, as the Jupiter – Uranus opposition fades. Saturn in Sagittarius comes into an exact 120° trine with the North Moon’s Node in Leo, in the 11th house of communal teamwork and social activism. And as Saturn keeps moving ahead, he will come in early November into an exact trine with Uranus, with all that this implies in careful, efficient management of necessary change. More about this at the Oct. 5 Full Moon.
These powerful, promising currents all mean, among other things, in practical terms, that if you feel an email message to another person is not complete without an insult to Donald Trump, please don’t send it to me. Don’t sent it to anyone. Better yet, beware of those who laughter is loud and mean. Thomas Hobbes wrote, in Leviathan, that “[Laughter] is incident most to them that are conscious of the fewest abilities in themselves, who are forced to keep themselves in their own favor by observing the imperfections of other men. And therefore much laughter at the defects of others is a sign of pusillanimity. For of great minds, one of the proper works is to help and free others from scorn, and compare themselves only with the most able.” Hobbes also said, “Words are wise men’s counters; they do but reckon by them; but they are the money of fools.”
We have much bigger things to do in the months ahead than to be taking potshots at puppets. That’s why I’ll be one of the featured speakers on Sept. 18 in Maureen St. Germain’s Awakening in 5D Telesummit. And it’s why Jay Barnett and I will guide “In the Pyramid” at the Sept. 22 Equinox.
It is time to stop complaining about how unfair the game is. Better to change the game.
Courage. Silence. Until and on Sept. 20, Keep Holding That Frequency.
This is Captain Aquarius, doing business again as Dan Furst, coming to you on Sept. 16, 2017 from Pisac, Peru.
Hello, and welcome. This is Captain Aquarius, coming to you on Sept. 3, 2017, with a few announcements about Aquarian Airlines flight 96, soon to depart from Pisac, Peru to Istanbul, Turkey.
This post is a transcript of the new video FullMoon9617Istanbul, which has just been posted on YouTube about the Virgo Full Moon coming a few days from now on Wednesday, Sept. 6. A few of the video images are embedded here. To see them all, go to the video.
Why are we flying to Istanbul this week, and to Berlin at the Virgo Black Moon on September 20th? Because as Germany prepares for its next national elections on Sept. 24 – more on this in our next post – there is increasing confabulation, controversy, and steaming hot acidic nastiness within the arena of German politics, and especially in the strident attacks that Turkish president Recep Erdogan has been launching against not only Chancellor Angela Merkel, but all German political parties.
Why has Erdogan been urging all German citizens of Turkish descent to boycott the election? Mainly – in the superficial terms that media prefer to spin and sizzle – because Germany will not extradite some 400 military officers and other Turks who were involved in last year’s failed coup against Erdogan. Also because of the usual tricks that an inept and insecure leader pulls when his hold on power is shaky, and he wants to shore up his position by stoking hatred of an external enemy. Add to this the reactive rhetoric that the opposing leader, also insecure, pulls when she is under fierce attack too.
It comes at a time when more and more of the world is starting to see through the toxic essence of classical capitalist countries who, like capitalists in general, respond to the agony of others by extracting more money from them, as Germany did in response to the Greek debt crisis. One does not have to be an economic genius like former Greek Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakias to see what unforeseeable consequences all of this bitterness will have for the 2.7 to 3 million Almanya Türkleri, or German citizens of Turkish extraction, who are now in the slimelight and the crosshairs.
Some are proclaiming their Deutschheit, if this may be a legitimate word for German-ness. Others are aligning themselves in support of Erdogan, or against him, while others, like their counterparts in Charlottesville Virginia, relish behaving with all the public relations instincts of Jack the Ripper.
How does all of this passionate befuddlement show in the chart you see here, cast for Istanbul at 10:02 am on Sept. 6th?
Full Moon in Pisces: Sept. 6, 2017 at 10:02 am in Istanbul, Turkey: 41N01 / 28E58
The best way to get our bearings here, as always at a Full Moon, is to notice the Virgo Sun in the 11th house of friendship, community, social activity and social activism, exactly opposite the Pisces Moon in the 5th house of creativity, play and love affairs. The key element in this chart is Neptune, who is conjunct the Moon and opposite the Sun, so that we are likely to see this week, and continuing through the month, the usual effects that Neptune uncovers when he is afflicted by the two Great Lights.
Expect perverse victimhood, self-deception, and proneness to being fooled by others at night, with widespread outbreaks toward morning of lurid gossip and scandal, moodiness and mopey inconstancy, a vivid imagination about idealistic plans without any ability to get them into practical motion, and so much mendacity that I. F. Stone, who said “Governments lie,” would have dropped his jaw all the way to his waist if he were still here to see what will be said this month.
Back to the chart. The condition that makes Neptune an especially active player now, and the reason why we’ll soon take a closer look at him, is that even after the Moon and Sun will have soon moved ahead in the next few days, and out of relationship with Neptune, the three planets we see in the 10th house, in Leo and Virgo – that is, everything except the horseshoe-shaped Moon’s Node — will move ahead through the early degrees of Virgo until they also oppose Neptune, as the Sun does this week.
Mercury is moving forward out of the fractious conjunction with Mars that he’s in now, so this is one argumentative week, after which we’ll think “Thank God it’s Friday” with a special sincerity. Mercury then opposes Neptune from Sept. 19th through the Black Moon and the Equinox. Mars opposes Neptune a few days later, so we are likely to see some furiously aggressive moves by people who can’t quite seem to keep their shoelaces tied. And at the end of September, Venus opposes Neptune, so that when all other follies and illusions fail, there’s still our needy old friend, the headlong dive into romantic love so desperate that we may lose ourselves completely in the other, and struggle to find the surface of the water again.
More important than this, though, is the deeper dimension of Venus, who, beyond her outer image as the Goddess of love and sex, art and beauty, money and diamonds, is the power of Attraction. When Neptune opposes her, there can be a lack of motivation, weak desire and foggy, flaccid pursuit of unrealizable aims, and the Sour Grapes posture of convincing oneself that goals that are hard to accomplish were not worth the effort. All of this wankery and passivity can rebound toward force and fire in early October, when Venus and Mars will be past their Neptune oppositions and in a hot, active conjunction with each other. But from the Equinox to the end of September, life is apt to feel, figuratively if not in literal fact, like stoned sex with an untruthful partner on a waterbed that hasn’t been drained and refilled for much too long, so the water is full of old, tossing and turning emotions and pale, reactive resignations.
It’s time to understand Neptune better, for our collective purposes and the Neptune positions and transits that can affect each and every one of us. Neptune is Lord of the inner and outer sea. He is our second-farthest planet from the Sun, with an orbit of 165 years. Neptune was discovered in 1846, when the British Navy ruled the world and got rich on opium trade, and the new Baha’i faith taught the unity and value of all religions. All of these elements, the water, the tainted wealth, the altered states of consciousness and the inclusive mystical vision, are central to the mythic identity of Neptune and the sign of Pisces that he rules, along with the 12th house of the astrology chart.
There’s a good reason why the two fishes that symbolize Pisces are usually shown swimming in opposite directions. Pisces is the most dualistic of all signs, Neptune the most dualistic of all planets, thus the appropriate ruler for the Age of Pisces (148 BC – 2012 AD) and its main ruling spiritual paradigms; Christianity, Islam and Marxism. The last of these, emphatically materialist and viewing spirituality in very Piscean terms as the opiate of the people, may seem at first an odd match with the others. Yet in its dialectical dynamic that Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel wrote about, and Karl Marx turned into dialectical materialism – that is, the positive new thesis opposed by an antithesis, the two engendering a synthesis that becomes the next thesis – Marxism is Piscean and Neptunian duality at its most fluid and assertive.
Neptune is not so much the opponent as the evader of structure and intellect. As ruler of the sign and house of spirituality, mystical consciousness, secrets and shadows, dream and psychic states, Neptune is the Dissolver of Boundaries. He rules intuition, imagination and empathy, the fantasy-related arts of music, theatre and dance, and all altered states of perception and consciousness.
There’s the unavoidable rub, as Neptune can also be a slippery ride in the opposite direction from clarity and honesty. Besides ruling all “positive” states of altered consciousness, from meditation to Theta and other deeper brain states to psychic receptivity to psychedelic and shamanic journeys, Neptune also rules alcohol, tobacco, weed and all the extremes of fantasy, including impossible dreams, fraud, self-delusion and deception by others, victimhood and addiction not only to substances, but also to bozotic beliefs and murky memories.
Afflicted Neptune can bring a lack of focus, clarity and motivation, vivid and disturbing dreams and irregular sleep, and illnesses related to the endocrine system and the feet. So if you’re one of the many spiritually active people who’ve been experiencing lethargy and lack of motivation, who’ve been sleeping long and feeling that no amount of rest seems to bring recharge, who’ve been so weirdly absent-minded that you could forget to take your nose with you when you leave your house if it weren’t firmly fastened to your face, then you may be directly affected by Neptune transits to one or more planets in your birth chart, or you may be at the very least generally affected as we all are by all facets and dimensions of the Neptunian experience. We are, after all, in the twilight of the Age of Pisces, some of us wanting to embrace our favorites of bliss and beauty a little longer, others wanting to hang on to our tragedies, even as we see the last of those black sails vanishing below the horizon.
It may help you to see how I’m experiencing Neptune now. It’s here, in my chart.
Dan Furst: Sept. 14, 1944, 6:35 pm EWT, Brooklyn, NY: 40N38 / 73W56
Until I hit the age of 70, almost three years ago, I was better entertained, as Samuel Beckett put it, than I have been in the years from 2014 until now. Neptune is at 11° Pisces right now, so he’s located at the left of my chart, right below the bold Ascendant line at 10° Pisces 29. As Neptune keeps moving retrograde from now until November, he’ll come to within 1° of my Ascendant, and 1° of exact opposition to my Descendant, at the right of the chart. It is scant wonder that alliances do not seem to take solid form and hold fast, the world can appear to be little more than a lake of lies, and there is an almost irresistible appeal in the posture George Carlin held in his last years, of being observant and knowing what’s going on, but giving up all emotional attachment to it. This does seem wise at a time when, as W. B. Yeats wrote, the worst are full of passionate intensity.
The other relationships are easy to spot. Neptune is in a fading opposition to Mercury at 8° Virgo 39 in the 6th house of health and service relationships, and is in closer opposition now to Jupiter in the 7th at 10° Virgo 53. Neptune is at the 150° angle we call a quincunx, or an inconjunct, with Mars in the 7th at 10° Libra 59. Next year, all year, he’ll be in a 90° square to Uranus in Gemini in the 3rd, and another quincunx, this time with Venus in the 7th at 13° Libra 37.
We won’t go into the implications of all of these. Two anecdotes will be enough to deliver the waterlogged Neptunian goods. As Jupiter is the planet of institutions of authority and law, and of travel too, you can imagine what can happen both positively and negatively when Neptune opposes him, as it did on my recent travels. In Hamburg I left my wallet on the conveyor belt at a supermarket, then stopped for dinner at the winery nearby, only to find my wallet missing. The winery owner thought I was a crook, trying to scam him for a free meal, and he proved to be such a Schweinkopf, that is, so pigheaded, that he refused my offer to leave my backpack and passport with him until I could retrieve my wallet and come back. He made a phone call that I thought was to the supermarket, but it was not.
Three cops from central casting soon walked in: a woman crew chief who was all business and zero schmaltz, a skinny guy so goofy that it was hard to imagine him being hired by a police force anywhere, and a cool Turkish cop who knew at once I was telling the truth, and taught me my German phrase for the day: Scheiss passiert, for Shit happens. It all worked out easily. But it was classic Neptune at both ends. A misunderstanding that could have been resolved in minutes tied up three of Hamburg’s finest polizei for more than an hour, until the intuitive cop saw the problem and the solution at once.
A similar thing happened in Madrid. I left my wallet in a taxi. The driver found my business card and emailed me, and I connected him with my Airbnb hostess, who sent my driver’s license and Peruvian bank card to my last tour stop at Body Mind and Soul in Houston Texas. Rebeca would not keep any of the money in the wallet until I suggested she pay a reward to the driver, and put the rest in a bank account for her 7-year-old son. So another ditsy Neptunian brain blip evoked the kindness and compassion of the taxista and my hostess, neither of whom would accept any money for themselves.
It’s all in character for Neptune, who is also the universal heart that embraces all in acceptance and compassion. This is why Venus is “exalted” in Pisces, for just as she is erotic, emotional love in her sensuous home sign of Taurus, Neptune is spiritual love, and always offers a solution if we are willing to look for it. Also in this week’s Full Moon chart, and also in Pisces in the creative 5th house, Chiron the Healer is in a tight 120° trine to the Midheaven at the top center of the chart, in the Mother sign of Cancer. There are always loving, healing solutions to be found, if we can only cut through all the shouts and chatter, and listen for them.
No matter how weird it is right now, it is about to transmute, clarify and move. And the more connected we are with community, the easier the journey by water will be.
Time to help bring the change into being. Until and on Sept. 6, Keep Holding That Frequency.
Peace, and Keep Holding That Frequency. This is Captain Aquarius, doing business again as Dan Furst, coming to you on Sept. 4, 2017 from Pisac, Peru.
Hello. This is your Captain, welcoming you to Aquarian Airlines flight 82117, which is about to fly from the departure point of your choice to Mt. Shasta, California, and then eastward across the path of the much anticipated and dreaded Total Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017.
This event has been called “extremely rare.” It is, and it is not. Total solar eclipses occur every few years. This one is unusual in superficial terms because it will be the first total solar eclipse since 1918 to cross over the entire breadth of the continental United States, from Oregon to South Carolina. But it is very rare in energetic terms because of the brilliant astral dynamics that accompany the eclipse, and make it a very exceptional opportunity.
A total solar eclipse is a simple event in which the Moon crosses over and occludes (i.e., she hides) the face of the Sun for a few minutes from the vantage point of a person standing in the path of totality. With this eclipse, as with any solar eclipse, the point of interest and debate is not in the physical event itself, but in our emotional reactions to it, especially among people who have a default setting of Fear toward anything new or unusual.
Your best starting point for the basics about the eclipse may be Donna Woodward’s superb article “What Astrologers See in an Eclipse That You Don’t.” Ms. Woodward begins by dismissing at once the fake fear premise, inevitably spewed at us by corporatist mainstream media, that “astrologers are freaking out” about the eclipse. We are most assuredly not freaking out, as you know very well if you actually know an astrologer, and you understand how the best of us operate in liberating others from fear, not putting them deeper into it.
The fear response, though, is ancient and understandable. Since Shang dynasty China and Old Kingdom Egypt — that is, well before 2,000 BC – astronomers could predict eclipses. Emperors and pharaohs rewarded those who could nail the calculations exactly, and might shorten by the loss of their heads those who didn’t see an eclipse coming, or otherwise got it wrong. Why, we wonder. Did an eclipse have any real impact on the country’s food supply, its economy or security? No. Not at all. But it was surely in the ruler’s interest to know when the people of his country may be paralyzed by fear, and the old superstitions about how an eclipse is an omen of doom, or a royal child born during an eclipse will grow up to bring disaster to the realm, or an eclipse on the eve of a battle could be a dire portent, especially for the invading army.
The Egyptians imagined that at a solar eclipse the primordial serpent Apop, or Apep, swallowed the barque bearing the scarab Kheper, the emerging Sun. The Chinese believed the Sun was being devoured by a Dragon, and they and others would beat metal pots and drums to drive it away. Some Native Americans saw the devouring monster as a huge black bear. The German tribes of Julius Caesar’s time saw an enormous black pig. Hindu people and many others saw a black demon. The main idea was that the Sun-eater was huge, black and, with the possible exception of the Dragon, anything but auspicious or heroic.
We wonder why these beliefs lasted so long, especially when we know how an eclipse will always go. Our old friend the Sun, minding his business up there, suddenly gets covered by some black thing so huge and so fast that within minutes, there’s nothing left of His Radiance but a thin, wispy corona of light around the edge. And then, after only a couple of minutes, the round black whatever moves on, and the Sun is just as he was before. It’s the same thing every time. You’d think, as Sam Giancana put it, that they’d catch on, and figure out that the thing that was covering the Sun was our other old friend, the Moon. How come it took us so long to get it?
We can well understand why, given that in ancient and medieval times, people might see or hear of one solar eclipse in their lifetimes, and would have no idea that all solar eclipses are basically the same. Modern photography and communications did not begin to tie the peoples of the world together in the same experiences until the mid-19th century, when we had modern astronomy and Victor Hugo wrote that “Nations, like stars, are entitled to eclipse. All is well, provided the light returns and the eclipse does not become endless night. Dawn and resurrection are synonymous. The reappearance of the light is the same as the survival of the soul.”
Perhaps it took medieval and early modern Europe a very long time to see eclipses this way because popes and prelates maintained control by keeping people immobile, illiterate and terrified by everything from the Black Death to the Turk to the Trump of Doom, the Devil and Hell, while the Church burned as heretics and witches anyone who would not conform and quake in fear of eternal damnation.
Eclipses were not always something to dread. The Greek philosopher and astronomer Thales of Miletus predicted the solar eclipse of May 28th in 585 BC. It coincided with the end of the war between the Lydians and the Medes, and proved that an eclipse may well signify a happy outcome, not a disaster. The eclipse of January 27th, 632 AD came precisely at the death of Ibrahim, the beloved little son of the prophet Mohamed, Peace Be Upon Him. The grief-stricken father refused to interpret the eclipse as a sign of suffering and woe, but insisted instead that eclipses declare the might and majesty of Allah.
One thing is certain: that an eclipse announces a moment of change, and possibly for much the better. The question that comes at this point is not whether the August 21st eclipse is a harbinger of famine or flood, fire or plague, economic collapse, murder and terror and catastrophic Earth changes, and the final Dump of Doom that is now on the lips of every media whore and panic pimp at every minute – all together now, World War Three! The question, rather, is whether this eclipse is in fact the exact opposite of what all the dreadmongers are trying to scare us about.
The fact is that this eclipse is exactly what we can expect now. The closer we get to the moment of truth, our long-destined breakthrough into spiritual consciousness and freedom, the more the controlling archons must play every fear card they can find, old ones, new ones, black hole cards unimaginable until now, to keep us from seeing things as they are. What are the archons most afraid that we’ll see? Not their crimes – the endless wars and financial shell games, the vaccines that aim to fight new new viruses that are about to be created in the laboratories of the Death Culture, the child sacrifice and blood transfusion rites that make pedophile priests look like choir boys, the poisoning of the Earth for profit, the corruption of the human spirit and enslavement of the mind by conformist, dumbdown consumer pop culture, the eugenic master plan to depopulate the Earth by 90%, and turn the world into a two-tier master and helot society of wealthy, almighty archons and the managers, physicians, guards, cooks and waiters, porters and drivers and sex slaves who live at their masters’ pleasure, and die at their slightest whim.
No, the controllers aren’t afraid we’ll find out about these things, and the rest of the horrors they’ve done and still do. All of these things are well-known, and more of the toxic, lurid details are coming out all the time. It’s all in plain sight. The only thing that prevents us from acting on what we know is that the archons have kept us so intimidated and ignorant, so exhausted and misinformed, divided and distracted, that we can’t possibly come together to take action.
At least not yet. The controllers know they’re safe until we find out the thing they’re really afraid that we’ll see. They’re terrified that we shall see ourselves as we truly are: not as stupid, corrupt, vicious self-servers driven only by our lust to feed, fuck, fight and forget everyone but ourselves – as shown here, for example, in this week’s white nationalist troubles in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Rather the archons are afraid we’ll see, at very long last, what we truly are: magnificent, powerful beings fully capable of bearing any hardship and making any sacrifice, of giving to others in generosity, creativity and beauty, of achieving union with the Divine because that’s who and what we are, and it’s time for the wandering hero, mired and misdirected for much too long in the illusion of his own unworthiness, to come home.
How do these possibilities show in the August 21 Eclipse chart cast for Mount Shasta?
Total Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017
11:30 am PDT, Mt. Shasta, CA 41N19 / 122W19 Placidus True Node
The astral dynamics are spectacular, and overwhelmingly positive and pacific, befitting a moment when conflict can be resolved, fear assuaged, isolation healed and communal co-creativity greatly favored. The main planet alignment is at the top in the quadruple conjunction in Leo, of Moon and Sun conjunct to the minute, with the horseshoe-shaped North Moon’s Node and Mars.
Note that in US Pacific Time at Mt. Shasta, all four of these planets are in the 10th house of the father, the profession, public identity and organizational power. In other parts of the world this Leo quartet is located elsewhere. In Berlin, for example, the four Leo planets and Mercury in Virgo are all in the 9th house of government and other authoritarian institutions, and of wealth and the “higher communica-tions” of law, philosophy and religion. In Beijing, significantly enough, the moment of the eclipse is on Aug. 22 at 2:30 am, and the four Leo planets are exceedingly powerful in the second house of money.
Back to Mt. Shasta. This tremendous Leo conjunction of lunar emotion and intuition, solar intellect and clarity, the courage of Mars the warrior on the attack, and the cohering, strengthening force of group dynamics under the Moon’s Node, is auspicious enough. But it’s the relationships of other planets with the grand Leo conjunction that give this chart even greater power and promise. Uranus, the revolutionary and Bringer of Change, who looks like a letter H in Aries in the 7th house, is in a tight to-the-degree trine with the Moon and Sun, and thereby to the entire Leo conjunction, bringing to the mix a possibility that 7th house teamwork can bring surprising, even stunning new insight and inspiration to the domain of institutional power.
A 120° trine is one of the most favorable of all angles of planetary relationship, though its force tends to be cohering and stabilizing rather than dynamic and destabilizing, as is usually the case with 180° oppositions and especially 90° “squares,” and often with 0° conjunctions, depending on the planets involved, their sign and house locations, and the ease, friction or fight of their basic relationship.
A chart full of trines signals a moment of rest and concord, and that’s what this chart is. Count ‘em. Saturn in Sagittarius, in the 2nd house of money, is in a tight trine to Mars in Leo, and thus to the whole Leo planet cluster, signifying the rare possibility of solid financial prudence and discipline on the part of official institutions. Venus the Lover, Artist and Manifestor, in Cancer in the 9th house, is in another trine, to Chiron the Wounded Healer in the 5th house of creativity and play, so that this eclipse can be a time when playful, inclusive celebration can accomplish a lot more than humor-challenged drudgery. Jupiter, the ruler, the magistrate and the money, hidden in the 12th house of spirituality and intuition, dreams and empathy, secrets and shadows – and in the cooperative sign of Libra to boot — is in trine to the chart’s comfort zone, the Moon’s South Node in the 4th house of the Home and the Mother, perhaps showing that at the moment of this Eclipse, cautious habits and traditional values may be empowered to see the world as Zeus Cloudgatherer himself does, with an all-encompassing view of everything that is possible, and, with a little nerve and determination, to flame out and light the way home.
If this chart had only these trines, or even more of them, it might be, if anything, too placid, not driven by enough will and discomfort to attempt any change at all. But there are enough peas under the mattress and burrs under the saddle to produce some movement here. Jupiter in the 12th house is no longer in the tight square to Pluto in the 3rd that we noted two weeks ago at the Leo Full Moon of Aug. 7, but is still potent enough to bring the death and regeneration of old ideas of secrecy as one of the cornerstones of power.
The chart has many 60° sextiles, which are as positive as trines, yet proactive and forceful. Jupiter in the 12th is in sextile not only to Saturn in the 2nd, but goes in the opposite direction too, to form a tight sextile with Mars and thereby with the whole Leo planet cluster. The chart’s Libra Ascendant, at the extreme left, is in close sextile to the Moon and Sun, and thus to all the Leo planets. Saturn is also in sextile to the South Moon’s Node in the 4th house. Pluto in the 3rd and Neptune in the 5th are in a loose sextile too. There is, finally, an opposition besides the Moon’s Node opposition that is always in effect. Uranus in Aries in the 7th is opposite to the Ascendant in Libra, suggesting that as individuals and communities, we’re now at a point of being able to change completely the way we project our intentions into the world.
The time has come to stop waiting and postponing, and to make a move. This is why so many people who aim to assist the transformation of consciousness are joining global meditations and ceremonies keyed to the timing of the eclipse. One especially worthwhile focal point is the Unity Meditation that will be held by Cobra and Corey Goode at Mt. Shasta at 11:11 am PST, and this is why many other events, like the Play the Eclipse gathering that I will co-guide in Pisac, Peru, will synchronize with this timing across our respective time zones.
It is time. Thanks for flying Aquarian Airlines.
Get ready to see the Earth and the Sky as you never have before. Keep Holding That Frequency.
This is Captain Aquarius, DBA Dan Furst, coming to you on Aug. 12, 2017 from Lima, Peru.
The video of which this post is a transcript, with some of the video images, is now on YouTube.
Hello, everyone, and welcome to Aquarian Airlines. This is your Captain speaking. Thanks for serving your fellow passengers so beautifully as we all help each other get disencumbered of all excess baggage and body weight, and we get comfortably buckled in, yet we’re still vividly alert to every fleeting opportunity.
Such as opportunities to improve our inflight entertainment. From now on, Aquarian Air will cover each new Full Moon or Black Moon in two formats:
Video, like the 16-minute 8717FullMoonSanMarcos, now on YouTube, and
Text, for those who like to read and have been requesting a transcript like this one. It has the full text of the video, and a few selected images. If you want to see all the images, the video has them.
And welcome to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. This is the place to be, even if you may hear the sound of weed whackers trimming the lawn in the atrium of our Aquaricraft. We’re still lively and ready for anything from a piña colada to a boat ride to a volcano, as Aquarian Airlines flight 807 is ready for takeoff from Lake Atitlan, Guatemala to anywhere you want to go, and we do mean anywhere, on Earth and to any galaxy you want. This astounding place is famous for its beauty, for a sacredness deeply rooted in the living indigenous traditions of the Maya and other peoples closely related to them, and for its high and heady energy as a portal where UFO’s zip in and out of the mountains, and some intrepid light warriors engage in everything from bargaining to battle with the extraterrestrial visitors who come to ride on or rumble against the light.
How can you tell who’s in the galactic game? It’s not the ones who say anything about it, of course, so you can tell that at the moment, I’m a reporter rather than a player. The ones who really are in the game are the ones who claim they’ve never heard of it, who weigh each word as if deciding from moment to moment whether voicing it will be an improvement on silence, and who squint with a half smile at the volcanic gas plume in the distance as if wondering whose ships – Grays, CIA, Dracos, Sirians, Nazis – are using it for cover this time..
My own flight is heading from San Marcos de Atitlan through Lima and back to my home for the last eight years in the Sacred Valley near Cusco, Peru. I’m in the homestretch of a journey of book signings, astrology readings, sacred site visits and cultural explorations in Mexico and Guatemala, Egypt and Ireland, France and Germany, Spain and the USA. The holy places and cultural riches I’ve experienced in the last eight months are too many to list.
It’s enough to say here, for practical purposes that may assist you, that you’d best get your legs in shape for Mont St. Michel, or be prepared to wait for days before your calf muscles forgive you. Double the time you plan to spend in Reims. Learn a few Irish songs. You’ll have a chance to sing them in Cork. You can relish the most exquisite silence you’ve ever heard at the Berlin Philharmonic, in the seconds between the last chord of the music and the first patter of the applause. Be sure to book your tickets early to the Alhambra in Granada. And beware of Barcelona, because you may never want to come back from a place that looks like a Gothic cathedral on psilocybin (shown here: the interior of Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudi’s masterpiece), and whose Catalan language looks like quatrains by Nostradamus, and sounds like what you’d get if you tried to transcribe flamenco into written characters on a page.
More on this another time. For now, heartfelt thanks to the bookstores and spiritual centers that have hosted me, especially the Enchanted Forest Reiki Center in Las Vegas, Body in Santa Fe, Radiance in Lancaster PA, Alchemists in Richmond, Body, Mind and Soul in Houston, Lotus in 6th October City, Egypt and Shereen Malak’s Center in Zamalek, Cairo, and Dervish Holistics in Cork. Thanks for the kind hospitality of Patricia Barakat, Al and Jenny Sanchez, Mary Garvey and Ken Horst, Darlene Streit and Tommy Gardner, Lisa and Bill Shorb, Cliff and Betsy Alexander, and Mary Sky. And thanks for the kind help and expert guidance of Paulette Waltz, Leslie Zehr and Bev Buckley.
This journey of eighteen lunations – that is, the principal lunar phases of the Black and Full Moons – began in late November 2016 and now comes to an end with the last one, the Aquarius Full Moon of August 7. It’s not getting noticed much, as everyone’s attention naturally goes to the Total Solar Eclipse at the Leo Black Moon of August 21. Yet the Full Moon that is coming in a few days, complete with a partial lunar eclipse, is well worth a look here, as it’s the perfect windup, warmup, weirdup and wakeup between the bizarre events of days just past, and the cosmic stresses and opportunities coming on August 21.
The chart you see here is cast for San Marcos, the town on the shore of Lake Atitlan that is called a hippie village or New Age center by people who are insufficiently hip or prematurely no longer new. The chart is cast for 12:11 pm on August 7, and – I promise you – it has not been tweaked or cherrypicked to make powerful astral dynamics align vertically with the spiritual thrust point of the Midheaven at the top center of the chart, and the Earth anchor of the Nadir at the bottom center. This is how the chart turns out when it’s cast for the exact moment of the Aquarius Full Moon of Leo month 2017 at Lake Atitlan. It will naturally look different, with planets positioned in different houses, for other places in the world.
Yet this chart is strangely fitting for the whole planet now, as the Sun in Leo – the king, the ruler, the performer who seeks the one-up position and is little interested in relationships of equality – occupies perhaps the least appropriate spot, the upward spiritual target and power pinnacle of the all-embracing compassionate heart, at the apex of the chart. Meanwhile the Moon in the sign of Aquarius, the revolutionary bringer of change, the trickster and worker of magical effects, is in the least mobile position of all, the Nadir, the point that anchors the chart to the solid dimension of the Earth plane, and therefore tends to be somewhere between cautiously static and about as stuck as you can be without being in the passport control line at Paramaribo Airport in Suriname.
The two horseshoe-shaped Moon’s Nodes are also on the Leo-Aquarius axis, and the Moon and Sun are in an afflictive 90° “square” angle with the Scorpio Ascendant, thus forming a disharmonious T-Cross. It is likely now that there will be friction in group and personal relationships, much of it caused by secretive, withholding behavior of the kind that shows that dishonesty is invariably the product of fear.
These celestial dynamics are a close fit for a time when neither the powers that be, nor the people who could claim their power, are ready to create positive, equitable change, and are crazyglued to their TV’s following the latest distractions that may, for a little while more, keep most of us from seeing how dire the situation is, yet how it could also be transmuted with a little concerted, courageous effort, as if by the electrical magic of Uranus himself.
We see him in the volatile sign of Aries, in the 6th house of this chart. You may remember that he was in an ongoing 90° “square” alignment of disharmonious tension with Pluto in Capricorn, now in the 3rd house of communications, from 2012 through 2016, so that many of the changes we see now are aftermaths and echoes of what happens when the Bringer of Change is in disharmony with the Lord of Death and regeneration. Now, as Uranus has moved ahead in his orbit, he is no longer in square to Pluto, but for a the coming weeks, another planet is.
In the 12th house of secrets and shadows, of energies not yet fully formed enough for expression in the light of day, or too guilty to show their faces more openly than they have to, Jupiter is in a tight square to Pluto. As Jupiter is the king of heaven, the money, and institutions of wealth and power (governments, courts of law, banks, churches, hospitals, universities and now in our time corporations), we can expect that there will be plenty of tough talk and flamboyant gestures by people who are play fighting on the dimly lit stage of an impasse, while working earnestly to divert attention from themselves by creating as much fear as possible.
Thus the United States sends bomber flights over North Korea in violation of that sovereign country’s air space. The US Congress, unable yet again to agree on anything their country really needs, passes almost unanimously a bill to impose sanctions on Russia, who retaliates by expelling American diplomats and closing their dachas. The US Senate did act on something recently, and rather dramatically, when Republicans failed by one vote to repeal Obamacare, and thereby clear the ground for a “skinny” (read “stingy”) Scrooge Alternative, that aims to increase the profits of the insurance companies who own the politicians.
And for the abrasive comic relief that is essential under these autoerotic conditions, the White House director of communications, Anthony Scaramucci, has just been fired for claiming that Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff, is a man who “sucks his own dick.” Theater fans may recognize in Scaramucci’s name the stock character of Scaramuccia from the old commedia dell’ arte – Scaramouche in French — the clever trickster who rescues himself and others from danger by talking and singing them out of trouble. When Scaramuccia is instead getting himself into trouble, then someone is playing seriously against type.
The laughing, leering Western media are, naturally, having as much soft core fun as they can with this astounding story, while remembering every moment that if you get too graphic, it’s a great way to cut your own throat at Network News. So now there are so many smiling newsers (pronounced “noozers”) everywhere from Flagship Flashes in New York to The Car Crash Hour at KRUD TV in Porkbone Mississippi, who are longing to say, but they dare not say, “It’s simple. A man who is flexible enough that he can pleasure himself orally might consider the Cirque du Soleil instead of the Circle Jerque of American politics.” Or “A man whose lovegiver wand can stand erect high enough to tickle his chin might give some serious thought to the adult film industry.”
After all, pornography and politics are made for each other, and their love story is ancient and eternal. The principles, ethics and imagery of the two professions, porn and politics, are very much the same, except that Don Porno, Wanda Willing and those other pornography artists do not work in suits and ties, they don’t get free postage, they do teamwork well and enjoy cooperation, they usually service one partner at a time, instead of fucking an entire constituency of millions, and they have honor rules about whom they will not serve, and what they will not do.
A few weeks ago, Italian police raided a “drug-fueled gay orgy” at the apartment of a “top priest” in Vatican City, and while no names have been named as yet, it is only a matter of time before these and other secret matters – child sex resorts, sacrificial pedophilia rings, UFO contacts, all of it, burst into pungent blow and blossom. More of this lurid, flaming sewage is sure to fly through the air by day and whirl through the sky by night for the week after this Full Moon. Notice how Neptune in Pisces, in the 4th house of the Home, is opposite to Mercury in Virgo in the 10th house of Power and the World. This opposition will come closer, within 2° of an exact 180° angle, just as Mercury goes retrograde on August 13. So the Eclipse Moon of Aug. 21 will happen under Mercury retrograde in Virgo, with all that this brings in mistakes, miscommunications, misunderstandings, dumb assumptions, frazzling machines, delays, blockages, lost phones and random, ineffable human bozosis, and the Virgo love of pointless detail gone obsessive.
More on the August 21 Total Solar Eclipse next time. For now, it’s probably best to remember George Carlin’s advice to observe and be aware of what’s going on, without having any emotional attachment to it. It is going to get increasingly weird.
What else to do now? Be aware of the 8/8/8 Lion’s Gate Activation, and what it represents about solar flares. Enjoy the flight and don’t be alarmed if you hear distant thunder under the background music, which has been contributed anonymously, in true Aquarian style. We are, after all, flying above a lightning storm again, in Jupiter’s own royal box as he and Pluto clash and boom against each other. Find an Eclipse Ceremony in your area, like the one Stephanie Moore and I will guide in Pisac, Peru. And Don’t Worry. It’s worthwhile to cite again here the 90-second video by Terence McKenna, “Worry is Preposterous,” that we showed you two weeks ago. And it’s time to meet the Sufi poet Yunus Emre, who wrote, “The hand of trouble cannot touch me. Pain will never see me. I am in a lofty station beyond the sin of worry.”
We fly in aware serenity. Keep Holding That Frequency.
Captain Aquarius, DBA Dan Furst, Casa Real, San Marcos, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, August 4, 2017
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. I have a little straight information to tell you, at a time when our airwaves are choked with everything but well-intentioned truth. Aquarian Airlines flight 725 is ready to take off from Guatemala City to Mexico City, and on to Lima, Peru. The point of this message is not to tell you about the planetary dynamics of the next Black Moon in Leo, coming on August 1 or 2, depending on your location. I’ll post a chart and video about this next lunation in a few days.
Rather, the point of talking with you now is to address a false travel advisory that may affect your travel plans. The United States and the UK have been warning their citizens not go to Guatemala because it’s the world’s most unsafe country. We need not speculate here on the motives for this atrociously cynical lie. If you or I were an American politician or capitalist from a country that has more guns than people, and where tens of thousands of people die every year from gunshot wounds — and that’s not even counting people murdered by police — we too would need to transfer our problem to another country. And what better for that purpose than a country so vibrant, beautiful and gracious that the main danger it poses is in exposing the emptiness and horror of the corporatist cultures that rule their peoples through illness, ignorance and fear. For such controlling types, a place as happy, spontaneous and free as Guatemala must be truly terrifying.
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. I’m sad to have to tell you the shocking news of a ground emergency that may affect some passengers of today’s Aquarian Airlines flight 719, from Marseilles France to Cleveland Ohio. As we make our way west to the Full Moon of July 19, we have heard of even more terrible and bloody events than we’ve come to expect in turbulent, explosive 2016. A military coup has just been suppressed in Turkey, with the loss of hundreds of lives and the arrest of thousands of military officers who may wish that a life sentence in a Turkish prison were one of their options now.
Even more alarming for those who cherish and celebrate freedom is that the Bastille Day holiday in France, anniversary of the day in 1789 when the people of Paris stormed the city’s hated prison and triggered the French Revolution, turned horrific a few days ago. On July 14, 2016, as I was recording the video voice track about how this coming Full Moon affirms the power of brave human beings to reclaim their liberty from those who want to take it away, one vicious attack on freedom was soon to come in Paris, where the Eiffel Tower would be set afire, and another had just arrived in Nice, on the Riviera, where a heavy truck is reported to have roared at high speed through a crowd near the beach, killing some 81 people.
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. Welcome to Aquarian Airlines flight 74, from London to Istanbul. We’re about to fly toward the Black Moon that comes on July 4, right at the Independence Day holiday in the USA.
