Hello, this is your Captain Speaking. Welcome to Aquarian Airlines flight 6416. We’re about to take off into June of 2016, and some turbulent weather throughout the month, especially at the Black or Dark Moon that comes on June 4 or 5, depending on your location; and the Full Moon of June 20, coming right at the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere, a day early in this leap year.
For those who prefer a more compact video/voiceover version of what follows here — I’ve just posted a 10-minute video, “6516BlackMoonRiyadh” on YouTube.
Why are conditions so bumpy all the way through June and July? Because two slow-moving planets, Saturn (with a 29 1/2 year orbit) and Neptune (165 years) are at the “stressful,” “difficult,” “afflictive” 90° angle astrologers call a “square.” We can also think of squares as angles of leverage, when planets apply their weight to habits and beliefs that don’t want to change, in order to help bring about changes that can no longer be ducked, denied or delayed. For June, but then fading in July, Jupiter (12 year orbit) joins and tightens the tension with Saturn and Neptune, forming a still more urgent and powerful T-cross of three points occupied by planets and/or other major chart points.
The route gets even bumpier at the Black Moon because for two days, the Moon, Sun and Venus are in a triple conjunction opposite or square to all these other planets. They form together what is called a Grand Cross, because all four of the arms of the design are active, and its potential is enormous for shaking things up, breaking beliefs and structures, and harrowing the ground so the new crop can now be planted.
Please direct your attention to the view screens above your seats. We’re about to show you a Black Moon Chart cast for Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in the hour before dawn on Sunday, June 5.
Black Moon Grand Cross of June, 2016 June 5, 2016 at 5:59am in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
Neptune (the trident symbol) is at the top center, conjunct the point between the 9th and 10th houses that is called the Midheaven (MC) because it’s the zodiac point directly above us in the center of the sky, at the point of our spiritual aspirations and our most authentic values and goals. This could be an idealistic, altruistic placement, in which we’re looking for compassionate, spiritual union — IF Neptune were not so severely afflicted by so many other planets, and so more likely at this time to practice fraud, deception, concealment, victimhood and addiction to beliefs and scenarios that can produce no safe, solid outcome.
Jupiter (the number 4) is directly opposite, at the bottom center of the chart, in the 4th house of the Home and the Mother, near the point that is called the Nadir because it’s the foundation of our practical life on the Earth plane. Jupiter in this position could mean gaining wealth, beautifying the home, gatherings of wealthy and powerful people and rich home events. Note that Jupiter and Neptune are conjunct the two horseshoe-shaped Moon’s Nodes, which represent group relationships, so it is also likely, as Jupiter’s afflicted too, that everyone narrows his circle of concern to the people he already knows, and looks only to his own money and safety — or looks only to bribe, dominate and control by any means.
Saturn is in the 6th house of health and service relationships, at a 90° square to Neptune and Jupiter. Saturn is the severe spiritual teacher, the cold, earthy weight of reality itself, the limitations to our fantasies and dreams. At his best, Saturn is devoted, disciplined, painstaking effort in the service of our worthiest goals. But as he too is afflicted by five other planets in this design, he becomes the prophet without honor whom no one wants to hear, especially as he is in Sagittarius, the sign of authority, government and law, at a time when no one trusts them, and few people of power will accept that it’s time to face the music.
The Moon, the Sun and Venus, in a triple conjunction in Gemini, complete the fourth arm of the cross. They are in the 12th house of the chart, positioned so that a within the hour after the Black Moon is exact — that is, when Moon and Sun are at exactly the same point in the zodiac — this conjunction will transmute and rise: that is, the planets will cross one by one the horizon of the Ascendant line between the 12th and 1st houses, so they will no longer be hidden in the house of secrets and shadows, but will emerge into the light of day.
Like the other three planets we’ve looked at here, the trio in Gemini are wonderful at their best, less great when they’re afflicted. The Sun is our life force and vitality, creativity, capacity for leadership and the way we shine in the world. When he’s afflicted, though, he can turn arrogant, self-indulgent, loud and boastful, as though he’s entitled to whatever he wants just because he’s big and on fire.
The Moon is the emotional life, the Mother, the Water element and the maternal virtues of nurturance and protection, guidance and compassion. She is Aset/Isis, keeper of secrets. When she is afflicted, however, the compass of her vision and love shrinks, so that she holds her own children within her wings, but is not available to anyone else.
Venus is love and sex, art and beauty, money and an incomparable power of attraction that brings toward her everything she intends to manifest. But when afflicted, Venus is petulant and spoiled, selfish and vain, easily offended and vengeful, with no spirit of service, no interest in anything but what she can see in her mirror.
No Bad Planets, Star Signs or People
The problem with a square of two planets, a T-cross of three or a Grand Cross of four or more, is that it brings out the least admirable qualities in all of the planets, and that is why it’s so challenging. The fact is that there are no “good” or “bad” planets, and no “good” or “bad” zodiac signs, just as there are no people who are all “good” or all “bad.” These terms are fake and too easy. There is no good and no Evil [beware this toxic word!] because there is only love and the absence of love, which human beings prefer to see in terms that are less kind and inclusive. The point is that each planet, each star sign, each person is a whole spectrum of qualities, from the wisest, kindest, most honest and loving at the Love end of the range to the most ignorant, mean, dishonest and unloving at the Fear end.
When planets are afflicted their behaviors go to the fear end, just as people do. It’s all in the relationships. When we are linked with friends and allies, then our bravest and most loving energies grow and move. When we are away from or against others, our hearts implode.
This time is perfectly keyed to what we are experiencing individually, just as it matches the collective events that we navigate now. Is it somehow an accident that right at the climax of one of the most vicious of all US presidential primary cycles, drenched in corruption, evasion and secrecy, tricks and boasts, fury and lies, the Black Moon Grand Cross of June 4 – 5 comes right before the last Tuesday of the primary elections, on June 7? No. It’s no accident at all.
Just as it was no accident that right in the Full Moon window of May 20 – 24, the US Senate passed unanimously a bill that would allow the victims of the 9/11 attacks to sue the government of Saudi Arabia for damages. The consequences, possibly including the end of the petrodollar, will show why the Chinese spell Crisis with the kanji for Danger and Opportunity. Having already thrown the King of Saudi Arabia under the bus in the Panama Papers scam, now the archons of the US shadow regime think they will keep hiding their own central role in the planning, execution and propaganda coverup of 9/11 as an inside job perpetrated for the sake of controlling Americans, and ultimately all people, through fear.
The Black Moon of June 4 – 5 is in fact just the beginning. There will be other shocks as the planets change positions and partners. This will be a log, hot summer, much as so many wish it could just be over now. It can’t, not until we get determined enough to co-create the new community we intend. Peace, blessings to all, thanks again for flying Aquarian Airlines, Keep Holding That Frequency.
