Astrocartography readings and wisdom from Dan Furst
Astrocartography readings and wisdom from Dan Furst
Hello. This is your Captain, welcoming you to Aquarian Airlines flight 82117, which is about to fly from the departure point of your choice to Mt. Shasta, California, and then eastward across the path of the much anticipated and dreaded Total Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017.
This event has been called “extremely rare.” It is, and it is not. Total solar eclipses occur every few years. This one is unusual in superficial terms because it will be the first total solar eclipse since 1918 to cross over the entire breadth of the continental United States, from Oregon to South Carolina. But it is very rare in energetic terms because of the brilliant astral dynamics that accompany the eclipse, and make it a very exceptional opportunity.
A total solar eclipse is a simple event in which the Moon crosses over and occludes (i.e., she hides) the face of the Sun for a few minutes from the vantage point of a person standing in the path of totality. With this eclipse, as with any solar eclipse, the point of interest and debate is not in the physical event itself, but in our emotional reactions to it, especially among people who have a default setting of Fear toward anything new or unusual.
Your best starting point for the basics about the eclipse may be Donna Woodward’s superb article “What Astrologers See in an Eclipse That You Don’t.” Ms. Woodward begins by dismissing at once the fake fear premise, inevitably spewed at us by corporatist mainstream media, that “astrologers are freaking out” about the eclipse. We are most assuredly not freaking out, as you know very well if you actually know an astrologer, and you understand how the best of us operate in liberating others from fear, not putting them deeper into it.
The fear response, though, is ancient and understandable. Since Shang dynasty China and Old Kingdom Egypt — that is, well before 2,000 BC – astronomers could predict eclipses. Emperors and pharaohs rewarded those who could nail the calculations exactly, and might shorten by the loss of their heads those who didn’t see an eclipse coming, or otherwise got it wrong. Why, we wonder. Did an eclipse have any real impact on the country’s food supply, its economy or security? No. Not at all. But it was surely in the ruler’s interest to know when the people of his country may be paralyzed by fear, and the old superstitions about how an eclipse is an omen of doom, or a royal child born during an eclipse will grow up to bring disaster to the realm, or an eclipse on the eve of a battle could be a dire portent, especially for the invading army.
The Egyptians imagined that at a solar eclipse the primordial serpent Apop, or Apep, swallowed the barque bearing the scarab Kheper, the emerging Sun. The Chinese believed the Sun was being devoured by a Dragon, and they and others would beat metal pots and drums to drive it away. Some Native Americans saw the devouring monster as a huge black bear. The German tribes of Julius Caesar’s time saw an enormous black pig. Hindu people and many others saw a black demon. The main idea was that the Sun-eater was huge, black and, with the possible exception of the Dragon, anything but auspicious or heroic.
We wonder why these beliefs lasted so long, especially when we know how an eclipse will always go. Our old friend the Sun, minding his business up there, suddenly gets covered by some black thing so huge and so fast that within minutes, there’s nothing left of His Radiance but a thin, wispy corona of light around the edge. And then, after only a couple of minutes, the round black whatever moves on, and the Sun is just as he was before. It’s the same thing every time. You’d think, as Sam Giancana put it, that they’d catch on, and figure out that the thing that was covering the Sun was our other old friend, the Moon. How come it took us so long to get it?
We can well understand why, given that in ancient and medieval times, people might see or hear of one solar eclipse in their lifetimes, and would have no idea that all solar eclipses are basically the same. Modern photography and communications did not begin to tie the peoples of the world together in the same experiences until the mid-19th century, when we had modern astronomy and Victor Hugo wrote that “Nations, like stars, are entitled to eclipse. All is well, provided the light returns and the eclipse does not become endless night. Dawn and resurrection are synonymous. The reappearance of the light is the same as the survival of the soul.”
Perhaps it took medieval and early modern Europe a very long time to see eclipses this way because popes and prelates maintained control by keeping people immobile, illiterate and terrified by everything from the Black Death to the Turk to the Trump of Doom, the Devil and Hell, while the Church burned as heretics and witches anyone who would not conform and quake in fear of eternal damnation.
Eclipses were not always something to dread. The Greek philosopher and astronomer Thales of Miletus predicted the solar eclipse of May 28th in 585 BC. It coincided with the end of the war between the Lydians and the Medes, and proved that an eclipse may well signify a happy outcome, not a disaster. The eclipse of January 27th, 632 AD came precisely at the death of Ibrahim, the beloved little son of the prophet Mohamed, Peace Be Upon Him. The grief-stricken father refused to interpret the eclipse as a sign of suffering and woe, but insisted instead that eclipses declare the might and majesty of Allah.
One thing is certain: that an eclipse announces a moment of change, and possibly for much the better. The question that comes at this point is not whether the August 21st eclipse is a harbinger of famine or flood, fire or plague, economic collapse, murder and terror and catastrophic Earth changes, and the final Dump of Doom that is now on the lips of every media whore and panic pimp at every minute – all together now, World War Three! The question, rather, is whether this eclipse is in fact the exact opposite of what all the dreadmongers are trying to scare us about.
The fact is that this eclipse is exactly what we can expect now. The closer we get to the moment of truth, our long-destined breakthrough into spiritual consciousness and freedom, the more the controlling archons must play every fear card they can find, old ones, new ones, black hole cards unimaginable until now, to keep us from seeing things as they are. What are the archons most afraid that we’ll see? Not their crimes – the endless wars and financial shell games, the vaccines that aim to fight new new viruses that are about to be created in the laboratories of the Death Culture, the child sacrifice and blood transfusion rites that make pedophile priests look like choir boys, the poisoning of the Earth for profit, the corruption of the human spirit and enslavement of the mind by conformist, dumbdown consumer pop culture, the eugenic master plan to depopulate the Earth by 90%, and turn the world into a two-tier master and helot society of wealthy, almighty archons and the managers, physicians, guards, cooks and waiters, porters and drivers and sex slaves who live at their masters’ pleasure, and die at their slightest whim.
No, the controllers aren’t afraid we’ll find out about these things, and the rest of the horrors they’ve done and still do. All of these things are well-known, and more of the toxic, lurid details are coming out all the time. It’s all in plain sight. The only thing that prevents us from acting on what we know is that the archons have kept us so intimidated and ignorant, so exhausted and misinformed, divided and distracted, that we can’t possibly come together to take action.
At least not yet. The controllers know they’re safe until we find out the thing they’re really afraid that we’ll see. They’re terrified that we shall see ourselves as we truly are: not as stupid, corrupt, vicious self-servers driven only by our lust to feed, fuck, fight and forget everyone but ourselves – as shown here, for example, in this week’s white nationalist troubles in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Rather the archons are afraid we’ll see, at very long last, what we truly are: magnificent, powerful beings fully capable of bearing any hardship and making any sacrifice, of giving to others in generosity, creativity and beauty, of achieving union with the Divine because that’s who and what we are, and it’s time for the wandering hero, mired and misdirected for much too long in the illusion of his own unworthiness, to come home.
How do these possibilities show in the August 21 Eclipse chart cast for Mount Shasta?
Total Solar Eclipse of August 21, 2017
11:30 am PDT, Mt. Shasta, CA 41N19 / 122W19 Placidus True Node
The astral dynamics are spectacular, and overwhelmingly positive and pacific, befitting a moment when conflict can be resolved, fear assuaged, isolation healed and communal co-creativity greatly favored. The main planet alignment is at the top in the quadruple conjunction in Leo, of Moon and Sun conjunct to the minute, with the horseshoe-shaped North Moon’s Node and Mars.
Note that in US Pacific Time at Mt. Shasta, all four of these planets are in the 10th house of the father, the profession, public identity and organizational power. In other parts of the world this Leo quartet is located elsewhere. In Berlin, for example, the four Leo planets and Mercury in Virgo are all in the 9th house of government and other authoritarian institutions, and of wealth and the “higher communica-tions” of law, philosophy and religion. In Beijing, significantly enough, the moment of the eclipse is on Aug. 22 at 2:30 am, and the four Leo planets are exceedingly powerful in the second house of money.
Back to Mt. Shasta. This tremendous Leo conjunction of lunar emotion and intuition, solar intellect and clarity, the courage of Mars the warrior on the attack, and the cohering, strengthening force of group dynamics under the Moon’s Node, is auspicious enough. But it’s the relationships of other planets with the grand Leo conjunction that give this chart even greater power and promise. Uranus, the revolutionary and Bringer of Change, who looks like a letter H in Aries in the 7th house, is in a tight to-the-degree trine with the Moon and Sun, and thereby to the entire Leo conjunction, bringing to the mix a possibility that 7th house teamwork can bring surprising, even stunning new insight and inspiration to the domain of institutional power.
A 120° trine is one of the most favorable of all angles of planetary relationship, though its force tends to be cohering and stabilizing rather than dynamic and destabilizing, as is usually the case with 180° oppositions and especially 90° “squares,” and often with 0° conjunctions, depending on the planets involved, their sign and house locations, and the ease, friction or fight of their basic relationship.
A chart full of trines signals a moment of rest and concord, and that’s what this chart is. Count ‘em. Saturn in Sagittarius, in the 2nd house of money, is in a tight trine to Mars in Leo, and thus to the whole Leo planet cluster, signifying the rare possibility of solid financial prudence and discipline on the part of official institutions. Venus the Lover, Artist and Manifestor, in Cancer in the 9th house, is in another trine, to Chiron the Wounded Healer in the 5th house of creativity and play, so that this eclipse can be a time when playful, inclusive celebration can accomplish a lot more than humor-challenged drudgery. Jupiter, the ruler, the magistrate and the money, hidden in the 12th house of spirituality and intuition, dreams and empathy, secrets and shadows – and in the cooperative sign of Libra to boot — is in trine to the chart’s comfort zone, the Moon’s South Node in the 4th house of the Home and the Mother, perhaps showing that at the moment of this Eclipse, cautious habits and traditional values may be empowered to see the world as Zeus Cloudgatherer himself does, with an all-encompassing view of everything that is possible, and, with a little nerve and determination, to flame out and light the way home.
If this chart had only these trines, or even more of them, it might be, if anything, too placid, not driven by enough will and discomfort to attempt any change at all. But there are enough peas under the mattress and burrs under the saddle to produce some movement here. Jupiter in the 12th house is no longer in the tight square to Pluto in the 3rd that we noted two weeks ago at the Leo Full Moon of Aug. 7, but is still potent enough to bring the death and regeneration of old ideas of secrecy as one of the cornerstones of power.
The chart has many 60° sextiles, which are as positive as trines, yet proactive and forceful. Jupiter in the 12th is in sextile not only to Saturn in the 2nd, but goes in the opposite direction too, to form a tight sextile with Mars and thereby with the whole Leo planet cluster. The chart’s Libra Ascendant, at the extreme left, is in close sextile to the Moon and Sun, and thus to all the Leo planets. Saturn is also in sextile to the South Moon’s Node in the 4th house. Pluto in the 3rd and Neptune in the 5th are in a loose sextile too. There is, finally, an opposition besides the Moon’s Node opposition that is always in effect. Uranus in Aries in the 7th is opposite to the Ascendant in Libra, suggesting that as individuals and communities, we’re now at a point of being able to change completely the way we project our intentions into the world.
The time has come to stop waiting and postponing, and to make a move. This is why so many people who aim to assist the transformation of consciousness are joining global meditations and ceremonies keyed to the timing of the eclipse. One especially worthwhile focal point is the Unity Meditation that will be held by Cobra and Corey Goode at Mt. Shasta at 11:11 am PST, and this is why many other events, like the Play the Eclipse gathering that I will co-guide in Pisac, Peru, will synchronize with this timing across our respective time zones.
It is time. Thanks for flying Aquarian Airlines.
Get ready to see the Earth and the Sky as you never have before. Keep Holding That Frequency.
This is Captain Aquarius, DBA Dan Furst, coming to you on Aug. 12, 2017 from Lima, Peru.
The video of which this post is a transcript, with some of the video images, is now on YouTube.
Hello, everyone, and welcome to Aquarian Airlines. This is your Captain speaking. Thanks for serving your fellow passengers so beautifully as we all help each other get disencumbered of all excess baggage and body weight, and we get comfortably buckled in, yet we’re still vividly alert to every fleeting opportunity.
Such as opportunities to improve our inflight entertainment. From now on, Aquarian Air will cover each new Full Moon or Black Moon in two formats:
Video, like the 16-minute 8717FullMoonSanMarcos, now on YouTube, and
Text, for those who like to read and have been requesting a transcript like this one. It has the full text of the video, and a few selected images. If you want to see all the images, the video has them.
And welcome to Lake Atitlan, Guatemala. This is the place to be, even if you may hear the sound of weed whackers trimming the lawn in the atrium of our Aquaricraft. We’re still lively and ready for anything from a piña colada to a boat ride to a volcano, as Aquarian Airlines flight 807 is ready for takeoff from Lake Atitlan, Guatemala to anywhere you want to go, and we do mean anywhere, on Earth and to any galaxy you want. This astounding place is famous for its beauty, for a sacredness deeply rooted in the living indigenous traditions of the Maya and other peoples closely related to them, and for its high and heady energy as a portal where UFO’s zip in and out of the mountains, and some intrepid light warriors engage in everything from bargaining to battle with the extraterrestrial visitors who come to ride on or rumble against the light.
How can you tell who’s in the galactic game? It’s not the ones who say anything about it, of course, so you can tell that at the moment, I’m a reporter rather than a player. The ones who really are in the game are the ones who claim they’ve never heard of it, who weigh each word as if deciding from moment to moment whether voicing it will be an improvement on silence, and who squint with a half smile at the volcanic gas plume in the distance as if wondering whose ships – Grays, CIA, Dracos, Sirians, Nazis – are using it for cover this time..
My own flight is heading from San Marcos de Atitlan through Lima and back to my home for the last eight years in the Sacred Valley near Cusco, Peru. I’m in the homestretch of a journey of book signings, astrology readings, sacred site visits and cultural explorations in Mexico and Guatemala, Egypt and Ireland, France and Germany, Spain and the USA. The holy places and cultural riches I’ve experienced in the last eight months are too many to list.
It’s enough to say here, for practical purposes that may assist you, that you’d best get your legs in shape for Mont St. Michel, or be prepared to wait for days before your calf muscles forgive you. Double the time you plan to spend in Reims. Learn a few Irish songs. You’ll have a chance to sing them in Cork. You can relish the most exquisite silence you’ve ever heard at the Berlin Philharmonic, in the seconds between the last chord of the music and the first patter of the applause. Be sure to book your tickets early to the Alhambra in Granada. And beware of Barcelona, because you may never want to come back from a place that looks like a Gothic cathedral on psilocybin (shown here: the interior of Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudi’s masterpiece), and whose Catalan language looks like quatrains by Nostradamus, and sounds like what you’d get if you tried to transcribe flamenco into written characters on a page.
More on this another time. For now, heartfelt thanks to the bookstores and spiritual centers that have hosted me, especially the Enchanted Forest Reiki Center in Las Vegas, Body in Santa Fe, Radiance in Lancaster PA, Alchemists in Richmond, Body, Mind and Soul in Houston, Lotus in 6th October City, Egypt and Shereen Malak’s Center in Zamalek, Cairo, and Dervish Holistics in Cork. Thanks for the kind hospitality of Patricia Barakat, Al and Jenny Sanchez, Mary Garvey and Ken Horst, Darlene Streit and Tommy Gardner, Lisa and Bill Shorb, Cliff and Betsy Alexander, and Mary Sky. And thanks for the kind help and expert guidance of Paulette Waltz, Leslie Zehr and Bev Buckley.
This journey of eighteen lunations – that is, the principal lunar phases of the Black and Full Moons – began in late November 2016 and now comes to an end with the last one, the Aquarius Full Moon of August 7. It’s not getting noticed much, as everyone’s attention naturally goes to the Total Solar Eclipse at the Leo Black Moon of August 21. Yet the Full Moon that is coming in a few days, complete with a partial lunar eclipse, is well worth a look here, as it’s the perfect windup, warmup, weirdup and wakeup between the bizarre events of days just past, and the cosmic stresses and opportunities coming on August 21.
The chart you see here is cast for San Marcos, the town on the shore of Lake Atitlan that is called a hippie village or New Age center by people who are insufficiently hip or prematurely no longer new. The chart is cast for 12:11 pm on August 7, and – I promise you – it has not been tweaked or cherrypicked to make powerful astral dynamics align vertically with the spiritual thrust point of the Midheaven at the top center of the chart, and the Earth anchor of the Nadir at the bottom center. This is how the chart turns out when it’s cast for the exact moment of the Aquarius Full Moon of Leo month 2017 at Lake Atitlan. It will naturally look different, with planets positioned in different houses, for other places in the world.
Yet this chart is strangely fitting for the whole planet now, as the Sun in Leo – the king, the ruler, the performer who seeks the one-up position and is little interested in relationships of equality – occupies perhaps the least appropriate spot, the upward spiritual target and power pinnacle of the all-embracing compassionate heart, at the apex of the chart. Meanwhile the Moon in the sign of Aquarius, the revolutionary bringer of change, the trickster and worker of magical effects, is in the least mobile position of all, the Nadir, the point that anchors the chart to the solid dimension of the Earth plane, and therefore tends to be somewhere between cautiously static and about as stuck as you can be without being in the passport control line at Paramaribo Airport in Suriname.
The two horseshoe-shaped Moon’s Nodes are also on the Leo-Aquarius axis, and the Moon and Sun are in an afflictive 90° “square” angle with the Scorpio Ascendant, thus forming a disharmonious T-Cross. It is likely now that there will be friction in group and personal relationships, much of it caused by secretive, withholding behavior of the kind that shows that dishonesty is invariably the product of fear.
These celestial dynamics are a close fit for a time when neither the powers that be, nor the people who could claim their power, are ready to create positive, equitable change, and are crazyglued to their TV’s following the latest distractions that may, for a little while more, keep most of us from seeing how dire the situation is, yet how it could also be transmuted with a little concerted, courageous effort, as if by the electrical magic of Uranus himself.
We see him in the volatile sign of Aries, in the 6th house of this chart. You may remember that he was in an ongoing 90° “square” alignment of disharmonious tension with Pluto in Capricorn, now in the 3rd house of communications, from 2012 through 2016, so that many of the changes we see now are aftermaths and echoes of what happens when the Bringer of Change is in disharmony with the Lord of Death and regeneration. Now, as Uranus has moved ahead in his orbit, he is no longer in square to Pluto, but for a the coming weeks, another planet is.
In the 12th house of secrets and shadows, of energies not yet fully formed enough for expression in the light of day, or too guilty to show their faces more openly than they have to, Jupiter is in a tight square to Pluto. As Jupiter is the king of heaven, the money, and institutions of wealth and power (governments, courts of law, banks, churches, hospitals, universities and now in our time corporations), we can expect that there will be plenty of tough talk and flamboyant gestures by people who are play fighting on the dimly lit stage of an impasse, while working earnestly to divert attention from themselves by creating as much fear as possible.
Thus the United States sends bomber flights over North Korea in violation of that sovereign country’s air space. The US Congress, unable yet again to agree on anything their country really needs, passes almost unanimously a bill to impose sanctions on Russia, who retaliates by expelling American diplomats and closing their dachas. The US Senate did act on something recently, and rather dramatically, when Republicans failed by one vote to repeal Obamacare, and thereby clear the ground for a “skinny” (read “stingy”) Scrooge Alternative, that aims to increase the profits of the insurance companies who own the politicians.
And for the abrasive comic relief that is essential under these autoerotic conditions, the White House director of communications, Anthony Scaramucci, has just been fired for claiming that Steve Bannon, Donald Trump’s White House chief of staff, is a man who “sucks his own dick.” Theater fans may recognize in Scaramucci’s name the stock character of Scaramuccia from the old commedia dell’ arte – Scaramouche in French — the clever trickster who rescues himself and others from danger by talking and singing them out of trouble. When Scaramuccia is instead getting himself into trouble, then someone is playing seriously against type.
The laughing, leering Western media are, naturally, having as much soft core fun as they can with this astounding story, while remembering every moment that if you get too graphic, it’s a great way to cut your own throat at Network News. So now there are so many smiling newsers (pronounced “noozers”) everywhere from Flagship Flashes in New York to The Car Crash Hour at KRUD TV in Porkbone Mississippi, who are longing to say, but they dare not say, “It’s simple. A man who is flexible enough that he can pleasure himself orally might consider the Cirque du Soleil instead of the Circle Jerque of American politics.” Or “A man whose lovegiver wand can stand erect high enough to tickle his chin might give some serious thought to the adult film industry.”
After all, pornography and politics are made for each other, and their love story is ancient and eternal. The principles, ethics and imagery of the two professions, porn and politics, are very much the same, except that Don Porno, Wanda Willing and those other pornography artists do not work in suits and ties, they don’t get free postage, they do teamwork well and enjoy cooperation, they usually service one partner at a time, instead of fucking an entire constituency of millions, and they have honor rules about whom they will not serve, and what they will not do.
A few weeks ago, Italian police raided a “drug-fueled gay orgy” at the apartment of a “top priest” in Vatican City, and while no names have been named as yet, it is only a matter of time before these and other secret matters – child sex resorts, sacrificial pedophilia rings, UFO contacts, all of it, burst into pungent blow and blossom. More of this lurid, flaming sewage is sure to fly through the air by day and whirl through the sky by night for the week after this Full Moon. Notice how Neptune in Pisces, in the 4th house of the Home, is opposite to Mercury in Virgo in the 10th house of Power and the World. This opposition will come closer, within 2° of an exact 180° angle, just as Mercury goes retrograde on August 13. So the Eclipse Moon of Aug. 21 will happen under Mercury retrograde in Virgo, with all that this brings in mistakes, miscommunications, misunderstandings, dumb assumptions, frazzling machines, delays, blockages, lost phones and random, ineffable human bozosis, and the Virgo love of pointless detail gone obsessive.
More on the August 21 Total Solar Eclipse next time. For now, it’s probably best to remember George Carlin’s advice to observe and be aware of what’s going on, without having any emotional attachment to it. It is going to get increasingly weird.
What else to do now? Be aware of the 8/8/8 Lion’s Gate Activation, and what it represents about solar flares. Enjoy the flight and don’t be alarmed if you hear distant thunder under the background music, which has been contributed anonymously, in true Aquarian style. We are, after all, flying above a lightning storm again, in Jupiter’s own royal box as he and Pluto clash and boom against each other. Find an Eclipse Ceremony in your area, like the one Stephanie Moore and I will guide in Pisac, Peru. And Don’t Worry. It’s worthwhile to cite again here the 90-second video by Terence McKenna, “Worry is Preposterous,” that we showed you two weeks ago. And it’s time to meet the Sufi poet Yunus Emre, who wrote, “The hand of trouble cannot touch me. Pain will never see me. I am in a lofty station beyond the sin of worry.”
We fly in aware serenity. Keep Holding That Frequency.
Captain Aquarius, DBA Dan Furst, Casa Real, San Marcos, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, August 4, 2017
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. I have a little straight information to tell you, at a time when our airwaves are choked with everything but well-intentioned truth. Aquarian Airlines flight 725 is ready to take off from Guatemala City to Mexico City, and on to Lima, Peru. The point of this message is not to tell you about the planetary dynamics of the next Black Moon in Leo, coming on August 1 or 2, depending on your location. I’ll post a chart and video about this next lunation in a few days.
Rather, the point of talking with you now is to address a false travel advisory that may affect your travel plans. The United States and the UK have been warning their citizens not go to Guatemala because it’s the world’s most unsafe country. We need not speculate here on the motives for this atrociously cynical lie. If you or I were an American politician or capitalist from a country that has more guns than people, and where tens of thousands of people die every year from gunshot wounds — and that’s not even counting people murdered by police — we too would need to transfer our problem to another country. And what better for that purpose than a country so vibrant, beautiful and gracious that the main danger it poses is in exposing the emptiness and horror of the corporatist cultures that rule their peoples through illness, ignorance and fear. For such controlling types, a place as happy, spontaneous and free as Guatemala must be truly terrifying.
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. I’m sad to have to tell you the shocking news of a ground emergency that may affect some passengers of today’s Aquarian Airlines flight 719, from Marseilles France to Cleveland Ohio. As we make our way west to the Full Moon of July 19, we have heard of even more terrible and bloody events than we’ve come to expect in turbulent, explosive 2016. A military coup has just been suppressed in Turkey, with the loss of hundreds of lives and the arrest of thousands of military officers who may wish that a life sentence in a Turkish prison were one of their options now.
Even more alarming for those who cherish and celebrate freedom is that the Bastille Day holiday in France, anniversary of the day in 1789 when the people of Paris stormed the city’s hated prison and triggered the French Revolution, turned horrific a few days ago. On July 14, 2016, as I was recording the video voice track about how this coming Full Moon affirms the power of brave human beings to reclaim their liberty from those who want to take it away, one vicious attack on freedom was soon to come in Paris, where the Eiffel Tower would be set afire, and another had just arrived in Nice, on the Riviera, where a heavy truck is reported to have roared at high speed through a crowd near the beach, killing some 81 people.
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. Welcome to Aquarian Airlines flight 74, from London to Istanbul. We’re about to fly toward the Black Moon that comes on July 4, right at the Independence Day holiday in the USA.
If you’d like a more compact video/voiceover version of what follows here — I’ve posted a 10-minute video, “July4,2016BlackMoon” on YouTube. Other videos in this series will go up soon on the Dan Furst Channel on Youtube, starting with the July 18 Full Moon.
There are also brief comments on the lunations of this month — that is, the Black Moon and the Full Moon — in the Daily Listings for July 4 and 18 in the new Universal Festival Calendar that I’ve just posted for July, with its mythic prelude “In the Fire Again.” Continue reading →
Hello, this is your Captain speaking. Welcome to Aquarian Airlines flight 620, from Brasilia to London. We’re about to fly toward the Full Moon that comes on June 20, right at the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere, a day early in this leap year.
If you’d like a more compact video/voiceover version of what follows here — I’ve posted a 10-minute video, “62016FullMoon” on YouTube.
Why does this flight take us from Brasilia to London? And why is this Full Moon chart cast for Brasilia, Brazil at 8:01 am on June 20? Continue reading →
Hello, this is your Captain Speaking. Welcome to Aquarian Airlines flight 6416. We’re about to take off into June of 2016, and some turbulent weather throughout the month, especially at the Black or Dark Moon that comes on June 4 or 5, depending on your location; and the Full Moon of June 20, coming right at the Summer Solstice in the northern hemisphere, a day early in this leap year.
For those who prefer a more compact video/voiceover version of what follows here — I’ve just posted a 10-minute video, “6516BlackMoonRiyadh” on YouTube.
Why are conditions so bumpy all the way through June and July? Because two slow-moving planets, Saturn (with a 29 1/2 year orbit) and Neptune (165 years) are at the “stressful,” “difficult,” “afflictive” 90° angle astrologers call a “square.” We can also think of squares as angles of leverage, when planets apply their weight to habits and beliefs that don’t want to change, in order to help bring about changes that can no longer be ducked, denied or delayed. For June, but then fading in July, Jupiter (12 year orbit) joins and tightens the tension with Saturn and Neptune, forming a still more urgent and powerful T-cross of three points occupied by planets and/or other major chart points. Hello, and welcome. This is Captain Aquarius, welcoming you to flight 521, and alerting you to keep your seatbelt fastened as we navigate some turbulent planets. Please don’t walk about in the aisle unless you’re acting in service, or joining other passengers in singing to the Moon, or looking for champagne.
My apologies. The Universal Festival Calendar has never been this late, ever since Dan Furst started writing it in July, 1998. More below about the conditions that have brought this exasperating outcome and others, as we look at how the dominant planet alignment of Spring 2016 has powerfully affected me, and may affect you too in similar ways. Briefly: my Macbook Pro suffered a hard drive crash and rebuild on April 29, smack at the beginning of Mercury retrograde (April 28 – May 22). The least welcome result was that many of my applications were now obsolete and have had to be updated and otherwise unblocked. The ones that especially affect astrology communications were iMovie, which I was using to make videos for the Black and Full Moons; and Adobe Muse, which I use to create and publish new web pages. Speaking of which — Continue reading →
The Full Moon in Scorpio that’s coming three days from now is already momentous enough. That’s why I’ve just posted April 21, 2016 Full Moon, the latest of my 10-minute videos on the lunations of 2016, on YouTube. The Full Moon of April 21 or 22, depending on your location, also comes within the aftermath and echo of what climaxes tomorrow, on April 19.
It’s not just that tomorrow is the day of the crucial New York primary in what could be the usual US presidential entertainment cycle, or could be something more. And not just because it’s Bicycle Day, celebrating Albert Hofmann’s first successful LSD experiment in 1943. I’ve posted the latest 10-minute video on my new Moon Series, on tomorrow’s tremendous Aries Black Moon. The chart for this moment is cast for tomorrow morning, April 7 in Madison, Wisconsin because this place has been yet again so important to the continuing Aquarian political revolution that is now unfolding in the USA, and in other parts of the world.

More in two weeks at the Full Moon. Courage, Keep Holding That Frequency,
